Did you hear over on Sew-in, some of the gals are seeing Valentine Candy in the stores - even before Christmas! Right now the thought of more sweets kind of gags me. I'm hungry for a big crisp salad! Have to admit, our veggie intake suffers when we're trailer livin'.
Yesterday I spent almost all day on Vintage Christmas - got 7 more blocks finished. 19 to go. I think I'll make a stop at the LQS down the road sometime in the next few days and see what they have for sashing and borders. We also got some of our big storage areas cleaned and organized and repacked for home-going. And I'm excited to be saying that! I'm so ready to be home. But when we're down here for the holidays, we like to stay for Autumn's birthday, too. We leave Georgetown 2 weeks from today. Oh, wait - let me add some exclamation points and smiley faces to that. !!!

CHICKIE - All that mopping is workout enough, I would think! lol! Glad to hear you are improving, even if only slightly. and yes, I did thank Santa for including the opportunity to visit a new quilt shop with is gift. However, it was way down in Austin (30 miles) and we had to go through a warren of narrow, busy streets to get to it. It was more of a Bernina shop than fabric, but they did have one corner of the store devoted to fabrics and some nice stuff on clearance!
JANA - a nice present - new phone. And you can always get a red cover for it. Funny, I always associated you with the color of red. I have 'assigned' colors to most people I know. Chickie is sunflower gold, Becca is medium blue, Tina is purple, and Irish, of course, is green. Velda is golden brown and I am turquoise. I often wonder how close I am to their 'correct' colors. and no, I don't know what criteria would term them 'correct'. Just feelings, I guess.
BECCA - So Christmas is all over with at your house. Here, too, though at home we still have outdoor Christmas lights on timers and a wreath on the door if it hasn't blown away. What is your son's name? Sometimes I get confused, you have so many family members! lol!
IRISH - welcome home!! We missed you! And sounds like Kelly and Baby Girl did, too! Not to mention Jake! And your Nick is a prince! But then you knew that, didn't you. Glad to hear Gin is feeling better. Didn't you say the driver was 'impaired"? I wish Gin would press charges. Sounds like she is a habitual drinker/driver. If she presses charges maybe she'll learn something, or at least get taken off the road for a while. It might save someone else from serious injury or even death. It really is the right thing to do, though, she may not have to. This driver committed a crime = a few of them by all accounts - and the police will have some say there. Such happy eagle news! Now we can look forward to your reports. I suppose we could all go the cams ourselves, but it's more fun to 'hear' it from you!
TINA - I was happy to hear that your treatment for your lymphedema was effective. Will you keep getting them? Does insurance cover this? How goes the Saga of the Sour Ham?
Bill decided last night to take supper into his own hands. He made breakfast - eggs, sausages, and hashbrowns with lots of onions and peppers. He did all the cooking on his outdoor stove. Well, I made the eggs, but he did everything else, including the prep work. Lots of sausage links left over so I think we'll have spaghetti tonite and put chopped links into the sauce. I almost can't wait for supper!
