supper club - Friday, Dec 7
Good morning,
Today is Pearl Harbor Day. I'm old enough to remember that this is a big, important date in history - but not old enough to remember it myself!! It's also Tina's Happy Birthday Eve Day!
we had a drizzly day yesterday and it's supposed to get much wetter today. We went shopping in the morning and then stopped at a chiropractor my friend recommended. Best $25 I've spent in a long time. I had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks. Still a little sore, but pain in my leg is 90% gone now! We put up our little tree in the trailer and then I watched White Christmas and worked on my state bird embroidery blocks while Bill went with friend, David, on a lengthy errand to pick up a generator that was supposed to be being repaired for last 6 weeks, but wasn't. Supper was homemade pizza and we settled in front of the TV for the evening. Big Bang Theory and Great American Holiday Baking Show. Isn't my life exciting! lol!
TINA, I, too, did a double take with your watering. From the national weather forecast, it looks like you might be getting that rain!
CHICKIE - you have 18 whole days until Christmas. You can do it!! Do you bind by machine or hand? Machine is a huge time saver . . .
BECCA - is the gen work all done yet? A hassle while it's going in, but so nice once it's done to have that security.
JANA - I've watched the MTC concerts on PBS before. Never knew they were last year's performances. At home we also have 'call before you dig' commercials on TV - I think the number is 511 or 811. Something like that. Just for the reasons you've experienced.
IRISH - you are getting closer to your DD - Departure Date. I sure hope snow doesn't get in your way! How long will you be gone to FL? Enjoy your luncheon today.
Tonite's supper is going to be mini meatloaves and baked potato, saute'd spinach, and a salad. Tomorrow, I think we'll do pork chops in the crock pot. Just thinking ahead to what we have in the freezer.

Good morning!
Mary - yeah for chriros! Every year, Mt. Diablo in Concord lights the beacon on top of the peak in honor of Pearl Harbor. It no longer works, but a group of volunteers get it running for this one day a year. You can see the beacon for many miles. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Shasta from Mt. Diablo. That mountain was not far from my Concord house.
Becca - the circus will soon leave town! I am not looking forward to when we do it here. Mine will be hooked up to the natural gas line that is underground, in my side yard. We may add a extra propane tank, but that will be down the road.
Kate received her badge. They did a badge pinning ceremony. Kate has worked hard to get where she is at. Now the kids are starting down the road to get past the worry about finances section of their life. Paying off debts is on their list. That makes us very happy, to see them succeeding. Aaron will have his degree in a short time too. That is a huge accomplishment on two counts. He never graduated from high school, just got his GED and now will have finished college.
Dinner - Michael wants stuffed baked potatoes, loaded with everything I can scrounge up.
Hopefully my day will be quilting
Hugs,
Jana

Good morning
Since I can remember I've stayed up late and watched tv on this day, all about Pearl Harbor. I used to watch a John Wayne movie every year but they quit showing that one when I was a teenager, can't remember the name.
Mary, glad the chiropractor helped you. Less pain sure makes for nice sleeping.
Becca, aww the kitty is so sweet, love the story.
We did get rain for about 30 minutes last night, We're very cloudy today so maybe we'll get more.
My washer is broken, had to go to the laundromat Sunday, I'm hoping the past gets here so I don't have to go back this weekend.
I'm not sure what supper will be, maybe veggie beef soup.
Tina
