Supper Club -Tues Dec 4
Good morning!
Yesterday was a lay around and nap day. Felt good. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for supper. Wont be going back there anytime soon. Loved their country music but it was so loud that we had to shout over the dinner table.
Today we are on the move north again for about 200 miles to town of victoria where we will spend the night. Then tomorrow we’ll drive rest of the way back to our old campsite.
Irish, that’s a smart idea to stay in a motel near the airport.
Becca, i hope your new tree suits .
Chickie, have you started the wedding mints yet? Hope you are warming up.
Jana, your grands always crack me up! Glad you got that haircut out of the way. Almost every little girl does that. Lol!
Tonites supper is an unknown, being a travel day. We will only be on the road four, maybe five hours, but still tired at days end. Might have fried egg sandwiches, or pasta of some sort.
Any supper ideas at your house?

Good morning!
We made it about freezing! It is now 33! Whoo hoo!
All Christmas totes are emptied ! They are now waiting to be slid down the stairs to the store room. Michael got the ladder and brought down the train and long track that are on my plant shelves, about 9 or 10 feet from the floor. Ethan will be happy on two counts, the train is down and we found his missing ball. He made up a game that he plays with Grandpa, kicking the ball up the stairs to the landing. Well, he got a little bit exzuberant and kicked it to hard. It landed up on the plant shelf. He and Grandpa have been looking all over for it. The ball is one of those cheap plastic ones, that go flat and this one is quite flat. This kick made it up the stairs from the basement to the top of the plant shelf. We will have a talk!
Dinner - I will see what falls out of the freezer.
So now to staighten and re vacuum, then down to sew.
Hugs,
Jana

Good morning! We are still going for 30s today. Yesterday I pulled my old flannel-lined jeans on over the skinny jeans I was wearing, and the Hooligans and I walked the almost 2 miles around to walk Ava and Choc. DH decided to accompany me, and we had a fun outing! We stopped and got Ava, dressed her in her little red coat, and she had such a fun time! We ran to check out everything and try to keep up with the big dogs. I’m paying for it today with shin splints. Ava looks like a tiny canine Little Red Riding Hood in her coat with the big collar (no hood).
I’ll be walking the rounds today again—in my big, warm jeans! I’m not sure if DH will accompany me or not. I pulled my fleece pajama bottoms on over my yoga pants when I went to let Choc out early this morning. A girl’s gotta do what she’s gotta do to keep warm—no matter how bad it looks! Fortunately, no one sees me early in the morning in the car! I know you all will get a kick out of that mental picture of me!!!
Get the picture again… just returned from a replay from yesterday. It’s 29 with wind chill of 21. Again, Ava had a blast! No running for me—my shins are really getting sore.
Irish—I try to push the weather back to Colorado or at least Western Kansas. It’s not good sharing weather! You are going to love your trip to Florida again!!! Once I stayed at a hotel by the KC airport. They were so nice and let me leave my car on their parking lot. They shuttled me to and from the airport! Talk about nice service!!!
Becca—hope your tree is a success! I adorned the antlers in the living room with the ornaments I have and hung up some wall hangings and put out some runners. It’s pretty low key here. I have grits… that may be dinner tomorrow night!
Mary—hope you don’t overdo traveling today! Taking it easy is good. Sorry the Texas Roadhouse wasn’t more fun. I watched the Garth Brooks from Notre Dame and thoroughly enjoyed it. DH would rather listen to a radio than a live concert. I used to go to a lot of concerts, and it’s a totally different experience.
Jana—so funny about the ball! Glad there was no damage to the plants! Boys will be boys—little boys and big boys! I know your home will be “looking a lot like Christmas…”
Dinner tonight—I think it will be a rerun of the chicken taco salad from last night. It really was delicious. Mine was much like the SalsaLITA chicken salad from Taco Mayo that I have with Mom. I have some avocados and will make guacamole for mine, too, tonight.
Bon appétit!

Hi everyone! Long time no see! Sorry I've been MIA, it's been a rough time lately. I've been very emotional, I'm worse than when I was pregnant! Really missing Mom. I couldn't bring myself to decorate so the kids came to the rescue and got the tree up and decorated, stockings hung, 1 village up, the train, little advent house and a few other things. Frankie put the outside lights up....all this was Saturday, last night I was finally able to do some decorating and have the den done and my kitchen table, all that's left is for Frankie to put up a village under the tree and in the fireplace we don't use and put out my deer and tree of lights in the yard, he might do that tonight after he gets home from work.
Dad found 2 sets of little Santa plates with holders, 6 each....they're 21 years old....none of us have ever seen them, Mom must've bought them as 1 set for her and 1 for me or 1 set for my sister in law and 1 for me, She did that a lot....but she never gave them and Dad just found them last week.....my set works great on my mantle.
Mary, our favorite place is Texas Roadhouse!
my uncle always said it was too loud too....so far it doesn't bother us.
Chickie, yep I had visuals LOL stay warm! We've been low temps but with the sun and no wind it's been beautiful days.
Becca, I hope you don't get as cold as expected.
Jana, oops...glad you found the ball, that must've been some kick to land it there!
Dad's coming for supper, I'm making meatloaf, potatoes, carrots and not sure what else.
