SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Nov 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Nov 24, 2018 2:15 am

Good morning,

Today is my sister's birthday. We already celebrated when we were with her a few weeks ago, but I'll call her later today. Again. Just talked to her yesterday.

I cleaned the whole trailer yesterday and reorganized the under-bed storage. Mopped, vac's, dusted, and packed all my sewing away. We are hitting the road again today, taking a short 'vacation' south to Mission, TX just because we've never been there before. and because our friends invited us to go with them. We'll be back here in this spot, same site, Dec 5th. Foxy will like 'vacation' - there is a bird sanctuary there. Foxy is a bird fan.

speaking of Foxy, I found him yesterday playing with a 3" tarantula right outside the trailer! Our first big spider! Yikes! Bill carefully relocated him out in the woods with the aid of a dustpan and whisk broom.

IRISH - I'm fully in favor of doing whatever you feel you need/want to do for all these 'firsts'. And I'm sure Jim was listening to your every word. He was probably thinking, "Gosh, she's STILL talking!" lol! just teasing. I hope I made you laugh!

CHICKIE - ten sounds like quite a large group to me! But nice to not have twenty! glad you had a nice time. I saw the Nutcracker when Autumn was in 2nd grade - 1984. And when I was in grade school, I danced in it - I was one of the Arabian dancers. Guess that was a bit prophetic, huh. .

VELDA - did you go to your exercise class and work off all that dinner? I thought I'd never be hungry again but turns out I was wrong. Still eating here.

JANA - you did it! You got it cut! Your hair grows fast. Seems you just had a haircut. Is it snowing yet?

Tonite is an unknown as we'll be traveling today. But supper will be more turkey in some form. maybe enchiladas? tacos? soup? casserole? Autumn bagged up leftovers and I think she gave us all the turkey. We'll be eating it for a while. I think I'll end up freezing some of it.

What's your plan?

Good morning! This will be quick! I’m on my way to town in a few to meet my friend for coffee, then to spend time with Mom and have lunch. Yesterday I got the mints started. I mixed up several double batches and got the colors all made. I started making the mints and have one and a half trays complete. I sent a picture to the bride, and she immediate wrote back they were awesome. I love that girl!!! She is so appreciative. At Thanksgiving she showed me pictures of her table runner and placemats all out on her tables and said again how beautiful they are.

Irish—I can understand your wanting to be home with your memories and talking to Jim. I hope your sister did well for her first time. I remember my firsts… I love that mental picture I get of your shopping trip!!! My big story is Mom and I went to Wichita shopping on black Friday. I’d just gotten my brand new Firebird. I also got a ticket coming home a little too fast after dark in said Firebird.

Jana—I wore my hair frosted for quite a number of years as well. It helped transition to the gray.

MaryZ—funny about your early Arabian dancing and how it progressed… Enjoy your “vacation”! We watched “Vegas Vacation” last night. I think you should do tacos or enchilads. With those leftovers, you can make tortilla soup (enchiladas) or taco soup with the taco turkey. I brought home some turkey and that gives me an idea…

Oh, a tarantula! They are so cool looking! Very few are poisonous??? Foxy probably thought it was a funny mouse. At least it wasn’t a scorpion!

I need to hit the road… Dinner… leftovers or some soup!

Bon appétit!

Good afternoon!

The turkey is finally in the oven! Michael wanted me to do it today, so my house smells yummy!

Mary - fun trip to Mission Texas. Live PD has their ride along cameras there all the time - I'll be watching just in case we need bail money - saves you your one phone call! LOL!

Chickie - I have bern meaning to ask how DH is doing? I always loved Firebirds!

Well I need to baste the bird and head down stairs. The tablerunner is ready for binding. Later tonight is the big rivilary game BYU and Utah - in the snow! We only got about 3 inches and Michael all ready shoveled and moved the truck off the street for the winter.

Enjoy,
Jana
