Supper club. Saturday, November 3

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Nov 03, 2018 2:08 am

Good morning

We are in Hardin, Montana. Drove an extra hour yesterday And left Billings in our rearview mirror. Good traveling weather all day long. The campground owners here texted us that DOT warnings for freezing rain, possible ice on freeway. Suggested we don’t leave early and by the way, would we like a kitten and she sent us a picture of three of 3 fluffy babies. But last night she told us they “had the squirts”. Have to say, not really inclined to take on the Sqirty kittens in a small confined space with the cat and dog I already have!

Irish aka, Rose, Yes, it does sound like the queen is on her way! LOL and she should have nothing but the best. And it sounds like that is what she will receive!

Becca, I hope you are having an easy day, warm weather, and get to put your feet up and read a book

Chickie, it’s your mom’s birthday! What a special day in your family! Group hug!

Tina, that was scary what happened to Maria. Too many scary things happening with their move. Has the previous owner’s niece turned back up again at the new house?

Jana, are you over Halloween yet? You are dedicated to the little ones and their treats! What’s going on your sewing room these days?

Pam, happy retreat! Sorry your Sew-jo how’s load me be the retreat will inspire you

Linda, where are you! Did you go out traveling again? You need to leave us a note! You know how we worry

Tonight we will be somewhere in Wyoming. I think dinner will be Chili. I have homemade chili I froze travel days.

What’s the plan for you

Hi Mary and all the rest... We are traveling, too and I had dinners made and frozen, too. Last night was spaghetti. Yum, it was so good. Had a salad, too. Tonight, might be eating out, as we will be near Flying J and Denny's. But I have quick things too, if we change our minds.
Safe travels. And have fun sewing for all of you who are working on projects.

Don't know what's for supper. I sampled almost everything at the snack counter, yesterday. So, I won't need all the junk, today! I can stick with fruit and veggies. I am very pleased with my block lotto blocks. They turned out at exactly 12 1/2". Have a great day traveling and playing with puppers and everything else!

Good morning!

Mary - not much is happening in the Batt Cave. Getting caught up with a few tasks that have been driving me bananas. Like getting the hard water marks off a glass enclosed shower, straightening the landing zone in the laundry/mud room and putting the front room in order. Michael puts away most of his tools, but there are stragglers, so the counter in the laundry room, gets it PHD all the time - piled high and deep! Now I no longer have a frosted glass shower, a counter back and you can't write your name in the dust in the front room!

Pam - I love it when a good block comes together! Enjoy the quilt retreat with your mom.

Velda - safe travels south. Sometimes one small town looks like the last, don't get lost and end up here! Even though I would love to have you!

Dinner is my one pot polska kielbasa, broccoli, tortellini meal. Maybe, if not today, then tomorrow.

A few errands, then heading to the Batt Cave.

Enjoy!
Jana

Good afternoon from a chilly, dreary, SW. Pa...Was hoping for better weather but we take what we get, I guess......

Mary, I was just thinking the other day, I'll bet when they get back home, there will be another fur baby in the camper...But, I agree, although it would be nice to have a little one but a "squirter", not so good...But, I'm sure one will come along and hitch a ride....You know, when I picture you going south, I think south but you are all over the country before you arrive south but I'm enjoying the trip....

Vel, happy trails to you also...Dennys is one of our favorite breakfast places...And years ago, while on our way to Chicago, we stopped at a Flying J for our Thanksgiving dinner...The girls thought that was the best treat...I like it because I didn't have to cook and clean up, lol.....Safe travels......

Chickie, this is the BIG DAY, right....Please give Mom a huge hug from all of us....And let her know, she's quite an inspiration.....Enjoy every minute.....

Well, you gals are not the only ones traveling....Later today, I'm traveling to the airport to pick up the Queen.....She's already on her way to Phoenix and will be in Pittsburgh at 6:15...Our airport has to be one of the worst for getting to and going through the city will be terrible...The Penguins are at home, we're having high school football playoffs and part of the Parkway is one lane.....This will be my 8th trip to the airport this summer and you'd think by now, I'd know a different route but so far there's nothing...Probably would be easier to meet her in Phoenix! Tomorrow after a family breakfast, we're headed for Cari's, Baby Lena is waiting! Kathy had all their Christmas presents sent here so tonight, she needs to wrap and then load the car...Kathy will also be visiting Jackie during the week...Next weekend I'll drive back out and bring her back and then I get to make another trip to the airport....
After that, the next trip I make to the airport better be me boarding a plane headed south......

Today is throw some clothes in a bag, finish cleaning, drop books off at the Library, stop at the Dollar Store for some Christmas paper and then run to the airport....It's a good thing we're turning the clocks back, I'm going to need that extra hour.....

Dinner tonight might be late, after I pick up Queen Kathy....

You all have a good day and a special weekend.....Mine will be spent cuddling a bundle from Heaven......

Happy eating.............

Good morning/afternoon! Today is Mom’s party. We will be going shortly. My CA family was here most of yesterday, and we had so much fun! DD and her family joined us for dinner, so we had a full table. I think my CA family will be coming tomorrow afternoon/eve for pizza for dinner before they leave out on Monday. We’ve had such a great time!

Ugh, Mary! I hate driving in freezing rain!!! It would be worse with your rig, too, I’m sure. How nice of your campground owner to warn you. Too bad you didn’t get a kitten, but that condition would not be fun, plus Foxy might get sick. Aaaaak!!!

Tina—glad nothing was taken other than “junk”. Here druggies steal stuff like that to take to the scrap yard for drug money.

Pam—how fun to go to a retreat with your mom! Good news that you got some Leah blocks made. Bring back your sew-jo!!! I hope to find some time this week to make some blocks, but everything is so busy.

Vel—happy trails to you!!!

We will be having the catered dinner at Mom’s party for supper tonight, so no cooking! I had a bowl of leftover tortilla soup for brunch this morning when DH returned from geezer coffee. I made him ham and eggs.

Bon appétit!

Irish—you jumped in on me before I checked for postings. Sorry you have so much traffic to get through to pick up the Queen! For us, it’s a 2 hour drive to the airport city, then traveling around, through or whatever to get to the airport. Kansas City airport is a farther drive than cross-country flight with layovers. I’m so envious of your getting to see Baby Lena! Have a wonderful time!!! Yes, with all that airport driving, you need YOUR own trip! Oh, yeah, turn the clocks back tonight… It will be nice to get the time! Have a fun dinner with Kathy!

Hi everyone!
Mary, safe travels, ice is not good. Too bad about the kitty, but I have saved pics for you here just in case ;) Thankfully the former owners niece hasn't shown up anymore and Kevin and Maria's realtor found out where she's living and it's a very long way away on the other side of town and she doesn't drive so we're all hoping that's the end of that.
Chickie, happiest birthday wishes to your mom, I bet it was the event of the decade! Kevin said he figured that it was druggies that stole the junk dryer so they could take it to get $10-$15 , so sad.
We came back to Kevin and Maria's today to help with some stuff, they're all set now, just need to go through some boxes and put the last away. I vacuumed like crazy with my Kirby to get any shampoo residue out of the carpet so Matthew is all good that way. Frankie helped move furniture where it goes and their office is ready to have their things put out and the spare bedroom is ready.
They fixed is chili dogs for lunch and little steaks and baked potatoes for supper.
We're on our way home.
Tina
