Good morning,
We hit the road this morning starting for home. Hope to make it home in three days instead of the five we took to get here. It’s between 1000 and 1200 miles, depending on our route. I am still coughing up dust from the trail. LOL. You got to be tough to have this kind of fun!
Jana, we will be watching for you Aaron and hope we don’t see him! I know you are very proud of him. Gosh, but I am proud of him just knowing his mom!
I wish, every enjoyable moment you and your sister have together is such a blessing and a step toward healing. Did you buy your chairs? And you can bet, along with Jana’s boy your Pittsburgh police officer is on my ‘pray for safety’ list. All law-enforcement are near and dear to me
Chickie, so what are the plans for mom? They do say it’s better not to surprise 100 year old people. When my dad turned 80 I wanted to have a party for him but he ordered me not to. Instead, I took all the short stories he had written over a period of five years and had them published in a book. It has always been his dream to write a book. P And my son, now A writerr himself, came up with the title, “Takes from the woodshed”. My dad was a logger and sold many Thousands of cords of split firewood on the side. By the way, did I tell you that my son got my publisher for his book? It should be out in about a year.
Pam, that’s great news that your brother has improved enough to go home. I wish the insurance would give him that extra week though. But they really aren’t in the business of helping people recover but in recovering peoples money.
Becca, Hope you have a good day today and get rested up after your trip over the mountain. Hope your DH is doing well
I have no clue what supper will be. I have the fixings to make a pot of chicken soup. I sautéed all the veggies at home just need to add canned chicken broth so that might be it. Depends on what time we stop tonight.

It looks like Bob got his extra week. Which is good. He is doing 4 sometimes 6" steps, and needs to do 8" steps at home. My Uncle and Dad and Bob's BIL built a good solid ramp for him to get in the house. Looks like he can lose the fight with his wife about putting a bed in the dining room.
Have a great weekend, everybody!!
