Supper Club. Sunday, sept 16
Good morning!
My sis arrived in camp yesterday. So most of our day was spent catching up with them. Then we grilled burgers together. Today, another lazy camp day and probably supper out at a steakhouse tonight. Official trail rides start tomorrow, with a catered dinner to follow and then prize give-aways. The ride will be 80 miles of mountain trails. A long day in the saddle. I may not be around here tomorrow.
Pam congrats on your weight loss!
Chickie, I was always a good renter, leaving the place in better shape than when we moved in. My problems were always with sketchy landlords!
Becca, I know you will lovehaving your son around even if cooking chores increase. I hope no one in your family has any damage from storm.
Jana, what’s going on with the fire that was threatening your kids homes? Worried!
Tonight -dinner at steakhouse! Whoo Hoo!

I have some chicken sausages thawed out. We will have them with peppers and onions. I may also make a brothy soup with arrugala floating in it.
We are going up to Buffalo, today. My brother has been making great strides - literally, lol.

Good morning!
Mary - we are all fine. The fire was a terrible one. It started less than a half block from Sarah's and burned due north. It crossed the road and burned into a ravine. Because of the high winds, the air tankers and water helicopters were grounded. So it was hand crews and bulldoziers that fought the fire and got it out! When it crossed into the ravine, it took aim towards Aaron's, but then the wind shifted and pushed it back slightly onto itself. At that point the firefighters got a handle and got it out. You could watch the fire trucks driving right out on the top edge of that ravine, with firefighters using the trucks water and spraying the fire. Many, many firetrucks were out there doing that. There were at keast two homes that were totally lost and several barns and other out buildings. It burned right along one of our friends home, but what we can see, spared that home. The firefighters also found the cause - a juvenile playing with fireworks. He has been arrested and being here in the neighborhood, we know who it was. But it has already turned into a huge bru- haha as the father is trying to blame another and claiming religious predijuce for the arrest. It will be interesting. The fire started in and burnt to the ground, that family's timber framed barn. We will see.
Sarah came home early from their camping trip. She was without power for a short time, but that was restored. Matt has a generator he was bringing out to run her freezers, but didn't need too. We lost our internet until this morning, but our power stayed on the whole time. Without internet, it was hard to keep up on the news. There is a tall ridge to the south of us. Michael has nicknamed that ridge as fire lookout ridge, as everytime there is a fire, he drives up there to survey the situation. He stayed up there for several hours keeping a eye on this fire. Keeping me posted via cellphone. This is the seventh fire here near or in the neighborhood and one of the biggest. Come on snow! LOL!
The families that lost their homes were in our Ward a couple of years ago. They divided our Ward because of size, to be smaller and created new Wards. So we do know those famiilies, even the non-members as well.
Dinner tonight is at Matt's house. It is Logan's 10th BD. I am making a cake as he requsted. It has a surprise inside that looks like a sargent stripe on a uniform and will be frosted to look like camo. I will f8nish it after church.
Aaron went out with a trainer on Friday and it was a wild day! To me at least, the trainer told Aaron that it was a slow day. Respinded to a couple of accidents, changed tires and gave out gas and drivers here in Utah don't understand what big flashing red lights mean! As they were trying to move over to a accident scene, to help, cars just went whizzing on by, ignoring the siren and lights! No more quiet days for me! UDOT fitted Aaron with his bullet proof vest this week too. Gray hair here I come!
Church in a litttle while. My normal chorister/cinductor called late yesterday and won't be back, so I am filling in today. Ethan is going to church with us too.
OK, my book for today,
Becca - praying for you, be ssfe!
Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning
Yesterday was Maria's birthday so both families got together and we had fun
I found a blouse for the wedding, I already had slacks so I'm ready. I'm thinking about making my hair appointment for that day so I don't have to mess with my hair.
We got home exhausted at sundown, I heated up leftover soup and then put my feet up till bedtime, I was wiped out.
There was talk of Italian wedding soup in the sew in so I'm gonna get ingredients to make that one this week, the boys love the baby meatballs.
I'm not sure yet what's for supper tonight yet.
