Supper Club - 12 September, Wednesday
Good morning! We will be 80 again today. After all the upper 90s, 80 feels cool. I’m not complaining. The hooligans and I had several walks yesterday taking care of dogs. I also got in some sewing room time and got a great start putting the baby quilt blocks together. The baby quilt is for my DD’s new great niece who just happens to have my name. Since it’s an uncommon name, I try to make a quilt from me to the new little one. I know the baby’s grandparents well, and know the dad from when he was born. I’m enjoying doing the quilt. Who knows, I might make a bib as well… or maybe not. I have SEW many projects!
Becca—isn’t it crazy to see the blue and sun before a storm and know it’s coming. When I was in a tornado, it was all bright and suddenly it wasn’t. Know it’s hard for your family to leave their homes alone and worry, but they will be safe. In the big scene, it’s only stuff. I kept telling myself that after our fire.
Jana—hope you are safe and no fires. Since we had all that rain (about 5” in 2 weeks), we shouldn’t be under fire warnings for awhile. I’m more afraid of fires than tornadoes.
Irish—how are things in PA? Hope you are able to spend time with your sis and get her out and about a bit. It’s just so important to be with those who love you after you lose a spouse—as we know.
Tina—Hope you feel better soon and the little ones and Frankie don’t get it. I can’t imagine much worse than that!
Pam—you must be busy! I never remember what you do for work. I always like hearing what you are making for dinner. I love those “free” foods!
Today will be putting the baby quilt top together. I have several things to quilt (2 Halloween toppers and a topper for my sister for birthday) that I will do with the baby quilt. Then it will be a binding party, and I can mark a few items off my list.
The hooligans and I will be seeing Ava around noon. She’s so funny. The other day she found a small turtle that was having nothing to do with her. Instead of pulling itself inside its shell, it was “running” across the ground which really had Ava excited. Finally I persuaded her to leave it alone and go potty so she could get a treat. I’m sure the turtle appreciated not being harassed by a tiny dog.
Dinner tonight will probably be rice and the rest of the Chinese takeout. I also have soup and/or salad makin’s. No one will go hungry here!
Bon appétit!

Good morning
Thank you Chickie, I'm starting to feel a little better, I'm on the getting well road. I can't believe how sick I was, stomach flu is nasty! I have no energy and feel really lazy for just sitting around, I'm trying to walk outside a couple times to get my energy back up.
Needless to say not much is happening around here in the food department. It'll probably be canned soup for supper since I don't feel like cooking.

Hi there!
Chickie,, you have a great great baby in the family named “Chickie”? LOL! Have fun with the baby quilt. They are the most fun
Tina sorry to hear you’ve been sick but glad to hear you’re improving. Feels good to get sun on your face when you’ve been so ill
We are in southern Idaho, all Prairie around here. Will be in Twin Falls in an hour, turning south into Nevada Windy day today but it is at our back’s so improving our mileage. Good trip so far. Funny thing-our very good friends, Bob and Betsy ( some of you may remember her having a double lung transplant six years ago ). We were going to spend Monday night parked in their yard but they were going to be gone on their own trip so we stayed instead at our free BLM land on the Columbia. Texted Betsy next morning. Their plans got delayed so they left on their trip late and spent the night in the same place we were! But they arrived in the dark and we didn’t see each other. We left the next morning in the dark. So while we didn’t see each other we did sleep together !
Tonight we are having a one pot dish-Rice-A-Roni with canned chicken breast and peace. Bill loves that.
Becca, are you staying put in the storm?

I know I am late. We actually made it out on the lake today. DH has had so much troubles with his arm. Didn't want to fish and be casting and keep it from healing.
Then I had lawn mowing to do. Now after a shower I am relaxing.
Chickie, how neat to make a quilt for new baby sharing your name.
Maryz, how strange that you and friends were staying the night in same place and neither were aware of it.
I was able to hem three quilts yesterday plus put together two backs for up coming quilts. I posted a picture late yesterday in "sew in".
Tomorrow I hope to finish the hemming.
Tonight is our pizza night eating out.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Re: Supper Club - 12 September, Wednesday
Good late afternoon.
Got the restocking of my groceries done, now putting them away. On the way home, spotted a plume of smoke, near my house. Yup, a fire burning in the canyon just over from me. We are under fire/evac watch. Those on manatory evac are being sent to the elementary school, one block from me. Where Ethan goes. This is the tbird one this year. So far we are safe, but the wind will shift and blow it towards me, according to the weatherman.
Dinner - tons to choose from, but since grocery shopping took me 6 hours and several different stores, I am tired! We will see
Enjoy,
Jana
Fire is out. The firefighters protected the homes. None of tnose lost, just some out buildings. All evac orders aee lifted! Three times in one year is enough!
