Supper Club - Tuesday, September 11

Good morning! I didn’t make it here yesterday. It was a long day—trip to Joplin for more dental work… mainly adjustments, but several hours in the chair with pressure and mouth open. It wasn’t painful, just tiring. DH went with me, and we got carry out Chinese buffet and had a picnic on the way home.

This is the anniversary of the attack on the United States home soil. May it never happen again. My friend and I were having coffee before work and working on our hand piecing as we watched the morning show on her TV. It was incredulous to watch the Twin Towers attack in real time. She got to leave her TV on much of the morning so everyone could check on the situation unfolding.

Becca—for years I took an arrangement of flowers from my yard to church every Sunday for the altar table through two pastors. Then we got a new one who didn’t think “homemade” was good enough and wanted everyone to volunteer to pay for a florist bouquet every week. He had way too many “airs” for our small town, small church and didn’t last there very long. I specially raised cutting flowers for my bouquets. Crazy, huh! I’ve been watching the hurricane preps, and I so hope you don’t get washed away!!! Sounds like the ladies in Myrtle Beach area may be in trouble.

Mary—hope you are out having a wonderful time! Love the sand bar camping!

Carole—great to see you! Have a super NY visit! Sounds like you and your DB need the time together, and so wonderful you can be there for your great niece! Hope you feel awesome and have a great time. I’ve been doing Halloween sewing here—so fun! Glad Luke is back to his fun self! Best wishes to your DH for his shot to take hold and he feels better too!

Hope everyone is busy, safe, and eating well! I’m on dog duty today and hope to get to my sewing room. We are going to be back to 80 degrees today. Dinner will be leftover Chinese.

Bon appétit!

Good morning!

Chickie - we have gotten warm too, wind, but no rain in sight. We are under a severe fire watch for the next few days.

Today is a day of remembering. Of those who perished, of those who rushed in to give aid and risked their life to save others. There are many accounts of men and women who were prompted, inspired to be in another place or delayed that morning. Keeping them out of those work places. God watched over those many. He watches over this country today and continues to bless this land. May we never forget.

Dinner - humm, it depends on if I go to the store, otherwise, a chicken something!

Ethan wants to come over after school and play here, so we will pick him up from school this afternoon.

Well, the washer just sang it is done with this load,

Enjoy,
Jana

Hello everyone,Sun is shining bright. We have blue skies today. But on our front looms a bad one.We are to get much rainfall. And if it stalls it really brings heavy rain.Only time will tell.My niece is on an Island here in NC & won’t leave her Home.I can’t see her reasoning behind it.

Chickie I have always had big cutting gardens for bouquets. My Mother used to put flowers in our Church for years.Same thing happened there too.Sad bec the homegrown are so much prettier. We didn’t have our tv on but the Neighbor called & told us to watch.Unreal watching it happen knowing everyone’s life would be changed forever.Very sad day in our Nation. So many lives lost .
I cannot imagine being in DDSs chair for hrs. They would have carried me out.I can’t be still that long.

Maryz Happy Camping.Cant imagine being on a sandbar.

Carole Enjoy your time with DB.And your Niece.Glad your doggie is back to normal.

I got my laundry done. And my walk-in.Then made dumplings to dry.Going to make chicken n Dumplings. We have brownies & strawberry bread. It was so yummy yesterday.
