SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Sept, 5

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Sep 05, 2018 4:10 am

Good morning!

I'm home! We had such a nice trip, relaxing, and enjoyed our friends and met some new ones! And tasted some AWESOME wines! But didn't buy much. We tried to be good.

Today will be cleaning the trailer and remaking the bed, and start packing to leave again next Monday. I also have to go through a pile of stuff to take to my sister who will be meeting us in UT for ATV Jamboree. Plus I have chiropractor appt and then Bill and I both have an appt with our financial guy, and after that run to the vet to pick up Foxy's flea/tick/heartworm meds. There is also laundry to do and our house is in serious need of some sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vac'g. It's going to be a busy, busy day! Plus I'd like to work on a small project in my sewing room that I left unfinished.

PAM, sounds like your DB is showing some improvement. I hope it keeps on.

CHICKIE - now that the HG Challenge is done, whatever are you doing with your time?

BECCA - did I see that today is errand day for you?

IRISH - I believe you are still on vacation. Have you head anything from your sister?

LINDA - What's the latest on your "bathroom issues"?

JANA - that visit sure went fast!! Have fun at your LQS today. I hope you find something terrific in that sale room!

TINA - did you get your pickles made?

Supper tonite - Will probably be burgers. Pretty simple. What's on your menu for supper?

Good morning!

Mary - yes, my favorite LQS has a sale room and a sale red wagon. The sale room is a big section in the basement. The little red wagon is specials on Wednesdays that they change each week. Sarah and I can get into sooooo much trouble there! The weather has turnedbeautiful again - cool at nights and only in the 70-80's in the day. The fall colors are here too.

Dinner is any number of leftovers, soup, chicken and rice, tacos - we won't be hungry for a ling time, or need to cook.

Working on straightening the Batt Cave and sewing the rag quilt. I need some fabric for the backs of two skinnies and fusible fleece. I seem to go through tons of fleece right now. I am making my new tote for all my girls for a Christmas present this year. And a couple for me too.

Off to get organizing,

Enjoy
Jana

Good morning! I think I missed here yesterday. We had Audubon meeting last evening and stopped for a taco on the way into the meeting. I was on dog duty and was a good dog grandma.

Mary—glad you made it home if only to take time to clean and re-pack for another trip. Sounds like you will be super busy!

Ha, ha! I have no free time! I’m finishing up a few more Halloween projects—some started before the HG Challenge, then I have some mending for one of the DGDs in-law (wedding dress and prom dress), 100 more invitation envelopes to address, a baby quilt to make, shower gifts to make, Christmas projects to make… I guess that’s it for immediately pressing matters. That doesn’t count care of DH, care of Hooligans, care of grand dogs, and care of the house. I like to care for me with yoga and some walking as well.

Jana—I think your LQS sale room sounds delightful along with the little red wagon! I always visit the sale room at the Edna quilt shop, and I frequently get into trouble there as well!

We are supposed to get some rain today. The other day when there were storms and flooding in Manhattan, Kansas, we didn’t get a drop. They are almost at the top of the state, and we are at the bottom near Oklahoma. We’ve been supposed to get rain for several days, but it hasn’t happened yet. The weatherman keeps sliding the forecast forward.

Dinner tonight… I think I’ll make some zoodles and pile some protein on top for me. I’ll make something for DH as well (sans veggies). I cut up a pineapple a few minutes ago, so we have pineapple as well. We won’t starve!

Now… off to the sewing room…

Bon appétit!

Hi everyone. I am a bit late. I started my day with exercise and yoga. I am such a newbie to this. Need to have a more consistent routine. Trying to do better each week. Then a refreshing shower and got dinner in the Crock-Pot. Have pork tenderloin cooking in brown gravy and cut up onion. Going back to my sewing now that lunch is done. Hope you are all having a great day. Vel

Hi everyone :)
Sorry I've been MIA again, time gets away from me. Last night I was up till midnight baking zucchini craisin bread, I did 4 loaves yesterday evening. And yes I got 2 quarts of bread and butter refrigerator pickles made. I only did 2 quarts because they say they only last about a month so I didn't want to waste any. I'm going to do some regular ones using the hot bath vacuum seal on some pints this week sometime.
We've been having fresh sweet watermelon and cantaloupe, they are so sweet and yummy!
I've got corned beef in the slow cooker to make grilled Ruebens and I'll make zucchini and try my pickles tonight.

Hello, everybody. I made a rice dish with chicken broth, chicken, onion, and a zucchini. The idea was to make it half zucchini to extend the rice a little. And I had some CUCUMBERS!
