SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, May 27th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun May 27, 2018 2:54 am

Good morning!

Today is my little son's birthday! 43 years ago today he arrived on his due date! He got extra points for that! We celebrated with him 2 weeks ago so today I'll just call him.

Sorry about yesterday. Honest, I was here about 0530 but I think QIAD was down for a bit. I couldn't post. So it was noon before I circled back around.

Yesterday I got my second Christmas quilt top finished and worked on my snowmen. I have all the pieced snowmen together and now will applique their faces. It's also going to be laundry day and I'll be hanging out the wash. LOVE using the lines when I can.

Our good friends came over last night and we had a nice campfire, then came in to eat oven BBQ'd ribs, corn on the cob, potato salad, bean salad, and apple pie. Can it get more American than that??

Tonite, we're having leftover ribs, corn, and green salad.

Good morning!

Mary - Happy Son's Birthday! They get the party, and we did all the work! LOL!

It will be interesting at church today. My usual Sacrament meeting music chorister is out of town and called late evening yesterday to let me know. My calling in the Ward is over the music, so guess who get to conduct today? Yup, me! I am no Sarah, but can muddle through. Sarah says, and I agree, no one pays attention to the chorister anyway! LOL It has been awhile since I last conducted, so I am a bit rusty. Lucky I have a great organist!

Utah is overjoyed at the release of the young man and his wife that have been falsely imprisoned. The family is from Riverton, just down the road from me. It has been over two years that he was held on false charges and finally behind the scenes neogiation obtained his release. His new bride and her daughter were also released and brought here with him.

Dinner - I am thinking patty melts with a loaded twiced baked potato and veggie. Last of the strawberry shortcake for afters.

Enjoy!

Hello everyone,Partly sun & clouds.Cooler today in 70s,Nice.

Happy Birthday to DS Maryz. My Oldest DSs was the 9th & my other DS that lives here is June 1.He came to visit yesterday & brought his friend too.He has his house on the Market now. They have their first showing today.Been on market 2 days.He has great views in every room & his front porch is amazing to sit on.He told us when it sells he plans to move to GA to be near her.She lives close to Atlanta.Big changes are coming.

Jana I’m sure you will be great. And your prayers are much appreciated. Its been rough here.He had an attack last nite with his breathing but I couldn’t get him to go to ER.Its betterthis morning so it must have been his asthma.
Thats wonderful the family was set free.I saw it on facebook.

Maryz I saw what you wrote on your post about me & your yard.Im Sure your yard is very neat. The way you describe it Most is just shrubs & ferns. That would be pretty.

Oh we took a trip to Lowes yesterday.DH got me a weed eater that you just push a button to start so now I can keep things neat & not break my back.Think I will enjoy it.
When we got there the parking lot was full & they have a big one.Everyone was doing yard work I guess.

We are having casserole I had In freezer. And salad & fruit. Becca

Hi ladies,
We survived the mulch party. Had a few more of the younger ones that came...Had to remind the older guys that the kiddos were doing a fine job, and if they didn't agree, they could do it all themselves. Well, apparently they decided to appreciate any and all help. Smart move on their part, I think! It is just a hillside, not many plants on it, so they can be a little wild with they spreading, I think...Anyway, all done for a bit. The older guys think they will do it again in the fall, and not take a chance on doing it in this heat again. That is one thing I will not miss when they sell the house. Lots of work.
It is a warm one again today, think we will just have homemade chicken tenders and some sort of side dish, with a salad. Ericka is home today, so will use the gluten free flour on them. She is having issues again, so am thinking it is not all her diet. She has been trying very hard to pay attention to what she is eating, so I know it has to be bad again...Poor thing.
You all have a great weekend, and as always, please remember the fallen this weekend. Becky
