SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 8

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Mar 07, 2018 2:02 pm

I’d say good morning but as I write this it’s 5pm PST in Wed. cuz there will be no time tomorrow morning. We leave Home at 0430. And it will be about a 16 hour day for us. Supper will be who knows what or when.

I didn’t get out of cooking supper Wed. Got home in time to make grilled chicken and baked potatoes and peas for us and sis and DBIL.

Tina, I think i’d Have to flush that SIL! He should be falling in his knees at your feet for all you do and provide for HIS family.

Jana, you should have the best sewing room ever having an engineer making the most of your space! Any word on Kate? Is Sarah glad the concerts are over?

Becca, how on earth can you get so much done?? What vitamins are you taking??

Chickie, are you getting into your sewing room at all?

Becky, how’s Snaggletooth doing?? I hope pain and swelling are almost gone.

Linda, how goes the termite wars? And Tina asked a good question-how DO you clean those velvety African violet leaves?

Well, it’s time for tonite’s dinner and here I am talking over tomorrow’s Supper! I hope whatever you have, it’s delicious!

Good morning!

Mary - you have been in my prayers today and thinking good thoughts!

Becca - yeah! The gravel is in and the lawn can now grow! I am so ready to see green again! my lawn is a very rusty color with a ittle tinge of green - not long now!

Daylight savings starts on Sunday - iit will be so nice to have the sun when we are up. Even now it is not dark at 4 pm as the sun sets over the mountains to the west of me.

Stu stopped by after he dropped off little guy at school this morning - so good to see him. He raided food for breakfast before he started putting out fires with his mom for the performance tonight. All is going good at the moment - notice I said moment! LOL

Dinner - Ethan will be here - so I may do banned ocean fruit or stroganoff - he likes both. I do know tomorrow as well - spaghetti with garlic bread. I am going to a Relief Society church meeting and it is a dinner and I was asked to bring some garlic bread - so I will make extra for us. When my kids were little, i would make things to take to church or families in the Ward and my kids always asked if there was some for them - I learned to make extra!

Enjoy!

Hello ladies,
Many prayers for you and yours Mary.
Today, we will just probably grab a sandwich when we get home, Brytt has her performances at 6:15, so we will have to run....if they want something afterwards, we will see what they want.....
Take care. Becky

Good morning! I’ve been absent from this table, but not from all tables! Wednesday I had lunch with DD and brought back Chicken Annie’s famous fried chicken. DH had been wanting fried chicken, so I was happy to oblige when I was over that way. I dropped off a dinner to Mom who was quite pleased as well with her dinner fare. Yesterday DH had an appointment in Pittsburg, and we had lunch at a Chinese buffet with a very light supper. So… I have not been going hungry!

Mary—I know that is a LONG trip and day for you. So glad it all went well with your DB!!! Congratulations to your DGS!!! Hope he saved you back some of his fresh baked goodies!

I have gotten nothing accomplished in my quilt room, although I do have my cutting surface cleaned off and a new green mat installed. I want to do some further cleaning and then get the blocks made for Lori’s swap.

Becca—the broken footrest was what happened to the recliner sofa here, too. It was made with particle board and just shattered. It messed up the whole mechanics of the recliner. I wish I could send DH to help you!!! Too bad we don’t all live next door to each other!

Jana—our nice weather arrived! Thank you!!! The wind was terrible, but yesterday was super nice. I saw that daylight savings starts this weekend! I love it!!! Neat to see Stu! How was the big event last night? Oh, yes! You ALWAYS have to make extras of “to take” things for the home site bunch! It’s a federal offence around here if you don’t.

Irish—thinking about you if you get a chance to read. It just takes a few months to get your life together again and feel like being human once more. Don’t retreat into a shell—you really do need your friends!!! I know this from my own experience!!! Lots of hugs and good wishes coming your way!

Becky—Know things are always hopping at your house! Did you get the awful winds? So nice to have it quiet again. Hope all went well last evening!

Dinner tonight… I have leftovers of all kinds… mainly BBQ beef short ribs. I’ll think of something to go with—salads for sure. I may just shred them and call them sandwich meat.

Bon appétit!
