Supper club, Tuesday, June 20

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Jun 20, 2017 2:27 am

Good morning! Beautiful morning here. There were elk sharing our friends yard with us yesterday morning but looks like they've left it to us today. Should go to 83° today. We move down to the RV park this morning and get set up to enjoy our rally.

We play bingo this afternoon and have a welcome campfire this evening. And will visit the afternoon away with old friends. This is our 13th year coming to the RV rally.

We had a lot of leftover food so for several nights now, you will be hearing that we are having chicken and rice for dinner. I will probably add sliced tomatoes or even a full-blown salad

What will you be having for your supper tonight

Good morning! I’ve been in absentia with the barest of excuses; yesterday, I flat forgot to check in.

I’ve been working on quilting Mom’s baby quilt. She told me a week ago when she gave it to me, “No hurry.” Saturday she asked me, “How are you doing on the quilt?” That came at no surprise to me. I should finish the quilting today; then I will need to bind it for her. After that—crunch time on the International Sunbonnet Sue blocks.

Sunday we went to Father’s Day brunch at DS2’s, and the rest of DH’s kids and families were there. Food was so delicious! I took a fruit plate which morphed into 2 fruit plates and a bowl of watermelon. I was happy to have some leftovers.

Dinners here—manly veggies for me with fruits and salads, and DH has had steaks and burgers with fruits and salads. More of the same tonight… Bon appétit!

Good late morning from a gorgeous, warm, sunny, SW. Pa...Today it's only going into the 70s with lots and lots of sun...How do you say, Purrrrfect!

Mary, so good to hear from you and it sounds like you are having a great time...I was kind of wondering what do you cook for an elk at breakfast? Did they bring the kids? You reminded me of a funny story about bingo....A couple of weeks ago, I was telling Jim about some of the activities and when I came to bingo, he thought he had to help, couldn't believe that he could go and play...Those many years at the fire hall have left lots of memories....

Chickie, I've had to use that excuse from time to time...Some days, I don't even turn on the "puter"...And I'm sure not that busy...You know the saying, if time was money, boy would I be in the bucks, lol....

Today might be a semi busy day...Ended up getting up an hour earlier than I thought it was and had laundry on the line at the crack of dawn...Did some yard work and took care of Dan's fur kids...This afternoon, have an appointment with the attorney for a will change and then a visit to the funeral home..I haven't decided if I'm going to tell Jim that his friend has passed....When I get back, I do want to plant a few more flowers, hopefully, the last and get them mulched....

In my travels yesterday I bought, red/white and black fabric...My sister's grand daughter is getting married and I plan on making an Irish Chain and her favorite color is red...This could be interesting!

And for dinner, I have no idea, which is normal...Last night I found a little frozen dinner of Tortellini Alfredo with broccoli in the freezer...Not bad, Michelina's even uses real cheese, lol....

You all have a great day...................

Happy eating..........

Good morning :)
Mary, your outside temps are my inside temps, yucky. Leftovers, yay!
Chickie, yummy fruit plates! I love to eat raw veggies and fruits.
Oh speaking of fruit, have you all seen the Jack Fruit? It's almost as big as 2 basketballs! You can grill it, fry it, bake it..... all sorts of things! It had a full sheet of paper with what all you could do with this fruit and the seeds! It's a funny green looking outside, reminds my of those soft cleaning things. ...I didn't touch it to see if it was soft though LOL they had 1 in our grocery store in town. ...I didn't buy it. If you do, let me know how it is? :)
Yesterday was so hot, over 105* and were the hotspot again today. My cooler pump isn't big enough I guess because my house is staying in the 80's inside, so yucky hot! I poor seat just sitting and sewing :( well we went in last night to get a bigger pump and it came a frog drownder! When we were leaving Wal-Mart we got so soaked that I couldn't even see through my glasses! LOL so refreshing! It poured all the way home and then continued till bed so needless to say the new pump didn't get put on so it's already 80 in the house. I have to wear a sweat band over my forehead to survive.
Supper. ..... Hmmmm. ...... I'd like something cold! I have no idea what I'll fix, maybe ice cubes LOL :)

Good afternoon!

Hot here! Coming to the hottest part of the day and we are at 97! Low humidity, so it is tolerable. I tolerate the heat very well with my AC on! Or hide down in the Batt Cave, it's always cool in there.

Dinner will be tacos tonight. I still have a few groceries to put away in the cold room downstairs.

Michael helped putting back all the furniture, rearranging slightly. It looks very nice. The furniture cleaned up well too.

Time to go and load the new software package on the computer for my embroidery part of Ruby.

Enjoy!
Jana
