SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, May 21st
Good Morning!
I am still home, but we are leaving later this morning for camping. We have been waiting for Foxy to come home. I spent a lot of yesterday thrashing through the woods, calling and crying and putting up flyers. and apparently it worked! I let Dog Boy out this morning at 0400 and there was Foxy right outside! I could have come in his cat flap if he's wanted, so I guess he'd just arrived. He wasn't injured, wasn't starving, and wasn't talking. Just wanted a bit of loving, some breakfast, and a comfy spot to sleep. The cat flap is now SHUT!
But, by staying home, DH got the lawn mowed and I got a big start on my Garden Medallions quilt. I also rearranged the deck furniture. Three times. I think I have it right how . . lol!
BECCA - you have been working like a whirling dervish at so many things! I'm not sure how you get it all done. I hope you got your 'porch day' yesterday. And happy Birthday to little Avery!!
I hope everyone else got something to eat! I sent Irish an e-mail on Friday, but haven't heard back yet. I told her we all miss her here. I'm sure her DD has returned to Reno by now. Terry had to go to NC last weekend to tend to some work on/about his house there and to see his boys. But it was just for the weekend.
What's for your Sunday dinner? Not a clue here. Perhaps some grilled chicken, twice baked potatoes that I have in the freezer, and salad. Bill and I will work it out when we get to camp. I found a recipe for Chicken Picata in a magazine that looks good so maybe we'll make that . . .
Cheers!

Good afternoon!
Well, my good weather disappeared behind rain, thunder and lightning. It is bucketing, which is great for my lawns and lousy for my hair! Just between the door of church and the car, I was a drowned rat! LOL
Mary - such great news that Foxy got home. If he was mine, it would be awhile before I unlocked that door! Enjoy a few days of camping.
Becca - love dainty little girls! So much fun!
Dinner is either my roast chicken or my kielbasa one pot meal. Depends on my mood and how much my hip is hurting.
Irish - take care! We miss you!
Well, the thunder and lightning is striking the ground less than 500 feet from my house, time to turn off the electronics!
Enjoy!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, May 21st
Today is our 38th anniversary. We don't do much celebrating of it. We already went out to dinner for the week and we exchanged cards. That's it. Having salmon, asperagus, rice for dinner.
We both worked hard outside most of yesterday and it has gotten hot, in the 90's, so we are inside today. DH did try the pool, but he can stand it when it is 78. I have to wait until it is in the low 80's before I can go in. My aging body can't take the shock anymore.
DH is always telling me what to do, what to eat, how to exercise so that I will stay healthier longer. He thinks his way is the right and best way. Well, he came home from the doctor yesterday with 3 prescriptions, one for high cholesterol, a second for high blood pressure and 3rd for his prostate. I only take one for HBP, so who is healthier? LOL I will just keep doing what I am doing!
Have spent the morning doing medical insurance billing, bedding laundry and making cookies. So now I feel entitled to do some quilting! You all have a good Sunday.
