daily devotion May 15

Image
Psalm 52
One of the most disturbing challenges to our faith is the blatant disregard for God in all elements of society. If we allow ourselves to dwell on the godless carnality in which we live, we begin to doubt the reality of Godly power and providence. IT seems our Christian witness is weak and ineffective in influencing our world for Christian principles. We wonder if God's kingdom of righteousness will prevail as assured in His Word when there is so much evidence to the contrary.

However, God will judge those who have ignored Him and practiced such worldly deceits. Those who take refuge in God and trust Him for their salvation and security will have the last word and will witness the demise of those inclined to evil and given to the pursuit of wealth at any cost. In contrast, we are to trust God's love and mercy continually. We are to give thanks in recognition that God is responsible for whatever we have become and accomplished. We are to associate only with those who are godly and wait, or hope in the name of the LORD!

Hugs prayers and God bless

We have our testimony of the truths and love of our Savior and His Father. When it is just one alone, that testimony is like a single thread, easily pulled and tugged, easily broken. But when we are in groups, in our churches following the teachings, sharing our testimonies, we become a rope, hard to break. We can stand firm in the belief and knowledge of what is true. We are then able to stand against the evils of this world. Our testimonies, just like that of David's, are a living growing tbing, needing nourishment. We gain that through our study of the scriptures and our leaders. How blest we are to live in these times, even though they may be tough.

Izzy, I usually don't get to read these till the day after. The good part of that is I get to read the comments as well.

There are so many times I read and it either confirms what I am doing is right or it kicks me right in the tush and straightens me out.

Thank you for posting these and thank you girls for adding your comments.
