Poured rain last night but fortunately we had put most of our outdoor stuff away or under shelter. And it was nice to listen to on roof of our trailer. Had a nice day yesterday, found a few thrift treasures ( vintage books, candle holder, cat statue), and stopped in at another couple wineries. Didn't buy much there though. We leave today but decided to stop at a forest camp in the Yakima Canyon, a very scenic place, for one more night out. Our phones don't always work in the Canyon so if I am MIA for a few days you will know where to find me. This is where we were during 9/11 and so didn't get the news for a while.
Today is my Riley Kitty's 18th birthday. She can vote now!! We will celebrate with an extra spoon of wet food today.
Tina, so happy to hear the stone is gone!! I bet your energy will pick up now. I wonder what's itching Frankie. Sounds like poor kathyquilts! I don't think she ever resolved what was causing her itch but did find an Rx that helps.
Becca - hooray for Gabriel!! Much happiness in twinville!
Chickie, sounds like your little charges are doing very well under your care! You could get a job as an NICU nurse! But for your sake let's hope all the rest of this seasons calves are born healthy!
Jana-bill is the opposite and always goes with Michelin tires. But then we very rarely, if ever, drive in snow.
Irish - are you seeing much of terry? Between his new job and looking for a new house he is probably pretty busy. Did you tell him about your daring-do adventures of a few days ago?
Our friends are going home today. They have been gone for a month and are anxious to see home again. Us - not so much. So will move today from this state park to the forest camp about 20 miles away. Our senior off season pass allows us to camp here in the state park Sun - Thurs for $10/night. Fri/Sat it goes up to $40. Now you know why we are moving. The Canyon is $4.
Supper tonight will Probably be a one-pot dish if rice-a-Roni, canned chicken, and a veggie. Probably broccoli chopped small. And garlic bread. Served alongside the Yakima River. Bliss!
Tomorrow night , after traveling home, we will probably just pop a frozen lasagna into the oven. And there is always salad.
Happy supper!
