Psalm 18
What a sense of victory HE gives when we meditate on all the Lord has done for us! When we think of His power, His character, His grace, His holiness, and all that HE does for us, our confidence and joy should overcome any threat or discouragement. Even the prospects of death, natural disasters, and the storms of life do not shake us for the Lord is our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. He is our shield, our refuge, and our salvation.

Most people know this verse by heart or know of it. It is one that you see a lot on bible covers, t-shirts and such if you go into a Christian store. I pray that the LORD is your rock and that you go to HIM for all your needs. When I think of a rock I think more on the lines of a mountain--solid and unable to be moved. Jesus is my salvation once I have accepted HIM, NO ONE--NOTHING can remove HIM from my heart and my Protection. I am in His hand 4 ever.

Izzy What peace this verse gives to us as believers.I praise him for being there for me always.when I think of a rock you immediately think of strength.God will give us strength for each new day.We only have to trust & obey. Becca

There are so many hymns with the theme of a rock. Oh, thou rock of our salvation, Jesus, Savior of the world. Another is one the primary children sing about the wiseman, who builds his house upon the rock and when the rains come tumbling down, the house in the rock stood still. But the foolish man built upon the sand, and was washed away. When we build our testimony upon the Rock, our Savior, we will be able to withstand all the buffetings and trials of this world. Our testimony is our witness and comfort throughout our lives. We must continually nuture and grow our testimony.
