SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Feb 18

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Feb 18, 2017 4:02 am

Good morning!

We have light rain this morning. I should have gotten out in the yard for a few hours yesterday, but kept thinking, "I'll do it tomorrow". Well, that ain't happening!

CHICKIE - your day with your medical things, your DD, Goodwill, and Chinese sounds purrfect! Except for the medical things and the Chinese. But I'm a fan of daughters and Goodwill!

CAROL - would love to come to your guild's show. How many quilts will be on display? Will there be vendors?

IRISH - here Safeway will deliver your on-line order to your door and Fred Meyer in Tacoma (owned by Kroger) will bring your groceries to a pick-up point but I think you do have to actually go into the store do your own shopping. This is just so you don't have to cart them out to your car.

JANA - how was the birthday party? I bet the little ones were excited! Sorry your Taco Bell Chalupa was so hot. I like spice and a bit of heat, but not so much that can't really taste the food itself.

TINA - glad you liked the sprouts. I HATED them as a kid and always dreaded having dinner at my aunt and uncle's house because that was their 'company veggie'. But they had Tinker Toys and to get to the them I had to go through the sprouts. Ugh! but now I like them fixed almost any way. How did you fix them?

BECCA - how do you fix your ribs? We occassisonally buy "Curly's" ribs from Costco, already cooked and in sauce. All we do is heat them up.

Yesterday we hit Costco and what a nasty surprise we got when we finally went through the checkstand! Ugh! Then two hours dealing with veggies and getting chicken, chops, and meat ready for the freezer. Then I swapped the Christmas dishes for our everyday set, and REALLY cleaned the trailer bathroom - deep-sixing at least half the stuff we have been hauling around for years. How did it all get in there??

Today I think I'll do some dusting and vacuuming in the house. The spiders seem to have gotten the upper hand while we were gone. And I need to also clean/organize the kitchen pantry. Since my Bernie went into the spa for a few weeks, this is the purrfect time to do all these things.

We still have a little bit of chicken left, a little bit of mashed potatoes, and a little bit of sauce. I think it's time for some creamy chicken soup and a salad to go with. DH will think it's all new food! lol!

Got any great ideas for YOUR supper tonite?

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Today was the quilt show, tomorrow too! I will take pictures tomorrow, today I was too busy.

Maryz - There are 133 quilts in the show this year. Yes, there are vendors. There is a great booth selling batting. I just love the batting! Today I purchased a twin sized wool batting. Always a good size to have on hand!

Becca - Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful day watching a game and eating ribs.

Tonigh't dinner for us is Stuffed Pepper Casserole. I took it out yesterday to thaw.

For those of you south and east of us, beware the storm we had yesterday was fierce. The winds were very strong. Our trees lost many, many twigs, small branches and green leaves. A friend had two 20 foot Cypress fall down (both had died and were awaiting removal). We did get quite a bit of rain, however the real story is in the wind.

Take care everone!
Carol
