The one WHO is, was and still to come!! what a great way to start our morning. You know God is does not waiver. He is always the same! LOVE!! He is just that LOVE. I can remember my son asking who God was. I described HIM like this: He is like mommas hugs when you are hurt, He is the feeling you get when you receive a gift that you always wanted, He is like the kleenex that wipes away the tears, and He is the strength you have to lift something heavy. My Son replied he is LOVE. I said yes but a LOVE that is never ending even more so than my own love for him.

God will come again and I await the day I can say THANK YOU face to face with HIM.

Have a blessed day today!!

Hugs Prayers and God bless.

Went and looked up the scriptures before that verse and enjoyed reading them as well. Handel, for his Messiah oratorio, used these verses. I was singing!

Isn't that what the scriptures are supposed to do for us? Make us joyful and happy! Men are that they might have joy is a favorite phrase from the scriptures for me.

Thank you Izzy. LOVE says it all! You had the perfect explanation of who God is and was and always will be. But your son wrapped it all up in one word......LOVE. Without love, what else is there. Our world is so full of hate, but LOVE and God conquer all.

Carole....you said it all in one word too..... AMEN!

Jana..... you always relate the devotion to a song. You bring back so many memories of beautiful old hymns. You always inspire me.

Becca....You have a way with inspirational words that always leave me with hope and inspiration too.

I smiled when I saw the picture. I thought about this leaf and how much it reminded me of life. The barren tree branch, a tiny green bud, a stem, and then a strong green leaf blowing with the wind and providing shade and comfort to those beneath it.

But then fall, the later days of our lives, The leaf begins to change colors but still awesome in shades of gold, orange, red, and brown. Sometimes we too "shine" in our senior years. But then it begins to wither and finally fall from the tree. The edges wither with age and time as they fall to the ground.

But in life, God's hands are there to catch us, like this leaf. He gently holds us in HIS hands, as frail as a leaf in our old age. And when our time on earth is ended, HE gently carries us home to heaven.

I think of Caroline, and MaryZ and Rosebud, and so many others whose loved ones have been carried home, gently cradled in the arms of our Lord.

May God bless each and every one of you today and always. May you feel the hands of God, gently carrying you thru life today. Prayers for all your needs.

Thank you everyone for your mini bible study today and every day. I look here daily for inspiration and hope and beautiful comments. Don't always have time to reply but I do read and I certainly do pray. Hugs and LOVE to all, Shirley Mae
