SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Nov 16
Good Morning,
I woke up at 3:30 this morning and was done sleeping. Now I'm hear, holding off on punching the BREW button on the coffeemaker so it won't be so stale by the time Bill gets up. The kids were hopeful of an early breakfast, but that didn't happen for them so they went back to bed.
I got in a bit of sewing yesterday and also popped down to the LQS a mile away for their 70% off select fabrics sale. I picked up a few nice pieces for quilt backs. Average about $3.50/yd. Just can't beat! They are new owners of the shop and I think trying to weed out excess fabrics from the old shop ownership.
IRISH - trust me when I say this - clean windows are overrated! Don't sweat over them. Happy to hear there's going to be more new eaglets! Congrats to Romeo and Juliet. Now M15. We really should find a new name for him. He sounds like an assault rifle, or an agent working with 007! What about "Bob"?
CHICKIE - you really did have a full day yesterday. A wonder you got any sewing done at all! But the Hooligans had fun and that's what counts!
TINA - you should have come here for your chicken parm last night. We had plenty! My BIL is a big eater so I try to cook for 5 people instead of just 4. So I use two pkgs of chicken or boxes of rice, or whatever. But that gives me 7 or 8 servings. So I keep ending up with enough leftovers to feed 2 or 3. My suppers here lately have been all about the math! lol!
JANA - is Sarah finishing off her basement? I thought she was in her house. But then, my mind has been a bit like a collandar lately, as Cindy G would say.
BECCA - it's nice to know a little about your brother. I'm glad he's got such good family support around him. Thanks for the idea of beef stew. I'm looking frantically for new menu ideas and that one hadn't occurred to me yet.
Our chicken parm last night was excellent. I've got leftovers tonite so I think I'll turn it into chicken cacciatore over the leftover noodles. I keep trying to think ahead on meals. We are really going through the food at a surprising rate here. So we're off to Costco today to stock up again.

Hello everyone, sunny here but we are due a big cool down soon.Hi's 40s.
Irish I so agree with Maryz.Clean windows are nice but I don't get excited about them anymore.Things now seem less important like all that cleaning.Glad the Eagles are all doing well.Anxious to hear about the eggs hatching.Hope you have a fun filled day.
Maryz You need a nap today. For the last 2 notes I Have slept.Think I'm just worn out from all the fires & DBs condition.
Chickie You did have a fun day. Those holligans bring smiles even to us.
Have to share what an Elementary School here did this morning for the firemen in their area.As they passed the school going to the fires the kids all lined the roads. They were waving, had flags waving,Banners held high,Posters with lots of Hearts & thanks, clapping yelling. Was a great example for others. The firemen drove very slow with big smiles on their faces. It was great to see.We watched the video.
Yesterday I finished up 28 Christmas ornaments I have been working on.They are the circles sewed tog & turn up corners.
Pulled some more fabric to work on.
Got my Mumbo dance completed,All the bathrooms cleaned & floors completed. So Its
On to another project.I am really trying to keep my mind off the fires. & DB.
We have beef stew left overs & will do cornbread. Becca

Good morning from semi sunny, chilly, SW. Pa...We were promised warmer temps today but so far, someone hasn't gotten the memo.....
Mary, Boy, I wish I had a quilt shop close by...The closest thing I have is Walmart and then JoAnn's is about 15..But, then maybe it's a good thing they aren't close, lol.... You should have called me this morning..We were up but not to my liking...Jim was having one of his nights, starting last night "waiting for those people to come" and us sitting up until about 1:30 and then he was up bright and early, wanting to go home...Thank goodness I had those locks changed but I was worried he'd remember the garage door, which hasn't been "locked" yet....We had been having such good days and then all of a sudden, you just never know....But, now, he seems fine, me groggy as you know what, lol....
I also think Harriet's fellow should have a name as do lots of other eagle watchers but the people who own the property in Florida where the tree is "think" they have say so and they said no...They feel, they provide the camera etc. and it's up to them but I feel, no one owns the eagles...Not sure why Harriet had been named but now they think her new fellow, who is male and the year was 2015, he's called that awful name...I agree about it sounding like a weapon and he's sure has proven he needs a proper name...Bob sounds good....We'll see if the watchers start a petition or something to get him named....Oh don't get me worked up when I can't think straight, lol.....
Jana, I admire any woman who can do those things as Sarah is doing...I just wish I had paid more attention and could do more now...I think you would get such a feeling of accomplishment when you complete a project...
Becca, been thinking of you and of course your DB...Thank goodness he does have family support and what a blessing to know, in his mind, he's ready....
Trying to do some laundry today and hopefully, work on the dining room windows...I need to get the screens out but might have to wait for Terry or the boys to help with that...But, would like to get the winter drapes ready to be hung....Mary I agree about dirty windows being overrated...I guess that's why I have mini blinds on most windows.....Usually I don't mind doing them but finding it hard to get in the mood these days......
As for our dinner, I do have left over scalloped potatoes from last night so just need to find something to go with...........
Happy eating....................

Hi there!
Not much here.
Yes, Sarah is finishing off their basement in the new house. Stu left before it was built and has never seen it. He does know where the property is.
Stu is due in on Friday night and he will have all the paperwork and x-rays from out in Riverside. Sarah then will take him on Monday morning to the hand specialist. The Church has a group that handles all missionary medical items and will help us get Stu in quickly.
Sarah has the room mudded and taped, and is checking today to see if she needs a second coat. If not, she will texture the walls and ceiling and then paint tomorrow. Just white for the time being.
Ethan's old crib converts to a full size headboard for a bed, so we will use that. Everything is coming together.
Dinner - humm - when Kate visits her family, they usually eat over there, do i have leftover soup - sausage tortellini, like a minestrone - that we can eat here. Did cornbread last night as well. Found a wonderful mix to chest with, called Fsmous Dave's cornbread. It is yummy.
Enjoy!
Prayers,
Jana
