daily devotion 10/19

Are you hungry for God's Word? Do you thirst for His knowledge?

You should. It should be your daily bread and milk. We should daily feast upon it. Tonight is bible study at church. I have been able to sit in with the adults lately because my girls have not been coming. You see sometimes parents are on fire and hunger for God's word and sometimes they are on a spiritual diet. I have enjoyed listening to my DH teach out of Corinthians, but I miss teaching my girls.

Are you hungry or are you on a spiritual diet today? Life is much easier to handle if you supply your soul with sound doctrine in equal portions each and every day.

May you find time today to feast on the word.

God bless

Izzy This is so uplifting & means a lot to me.Without Gods word & prayer in my life I would be in a desert of despair.God is so faithful & will supply every need.

One day last week I was having a bad day.DH was bad & that affects my days.I sat on a bench by the creek & talked to God for about an hour.I was fefreshed & renewed & my day changed.Praise God for his Word & his daily presence in our lives.

Izzy, thank you for these devotions. They make my day. I need inspiration sometimes when I crawl out of bed and don't know where to start first. Starting with God is important. You find such awesome pics to inspire us daily. What a blessing!

I always enjoy reading the comments too. Like a little mini bible study, brief but inspiring words from others to touch our lives.

I always try to walk outside before I go to bed. The moon and/or stars or even cloudy skies make me feel so close to God in my own yard. I realize there is a huge universe out there but God still is there for each one of us.

The outdoors was my cathedral all the yrs we traveled in our motorhome. No matter how far from family and friends, God was always there. He gave us such inspirational sunrises and sunsets all over the country.

His beautiful creation was all around us and so often overlooked in our busy lives. The mountains, the trees, the sky, the various bodies of water....seaside, ponds, waterfalls, rivers....the birds and butterflies and critters, the plants, the flowers, all around us too. If that is NOT proof of God's creation, I don't know what is.

I stand in awe every time I see them. A large glowing moon, stars overhead, God is all around us. The sun still comes up every morning and sets every evening. Take God with you, in your heart and soul. Your day will be filled with awesome wonders.

God bless you all today and always. Prayers for your needs too today.

Hugs and love to all, Shirley Mae

Once you have learned to feast at the table,a nibble doesn't do it! It is so wonderful to start your day studying the scriptures and the lessons they have for each one of us. Each time i read, I learn something i didn't see before, even though i have studied that before.
