daily devotion 10/7

This week I have struggled with a close friend whose husband is very ill and my DH has witnessed to him several times yet he still does not accept Jesus as his Lord. I can't fathom going through such a horrific illness as cancer without the Lord at my side. Not knowing how my life will end in peace rather than turmoil would put me at such an unrest, yet our friend walks away from it each time he is told the truth.

Please keep our friend and his wife in your prayers. His family is struggling; they are faithful church members and He never attends nor will he accept the Lord at this time. Pray God opens his heart before it is too late.

May each of you be blessed today. I enjoy coming back at the end of the day to read your comments.

God Bless
Izzy

Izzy, prayers for your friends.

My grandpa was the same way. He didn't believe in a God who would allow so much bad.

But when my son went to a Christian pre school and wanted to pray at meals grandpa prayed. And when he was dying in the hospital he let a clergyman pray with and for him. I also hope it wasn't too late.

And now Marilyn is having some of the same struggles with her beliefs.

I believe that - We have a loving Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ who never give up on us. Even if we have passed to the other side of the veil. There are many righteous people, working to teach the gospel to all after we have died. That is part of the glorious plan of salvation that is taught in the scriptures. God will not force anyone to heaven, but give them every chance and opportunity to choose and learn in their own time and place. We just give the opportunities and wait, then wait upon the Lord.

What wonderful reunions there will be, as we are greeted by those we love, who have passed on before us. Don't give up, our Father in Heaven never does! He is our example.

Prayers,
Jana
