SUPPER CLUB - Sat, July 9th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Jul 09, 2016 3:07 am

Good morning!

We've been having rain the past couple days and nights. Just a gentle summer rain. Very nice! the weeds are loving it!

CAROL - so glad to see you here today and know that your surgery is behind you. Did you have one wrist done or two? My mom had two at the same time - while Daddy was in a hospital in Seattle. It was a rough week for me! Hope your hubby spoils you! I like your 'little meatloaf' idea.

IZZY - I can understand OD-ing on meatloaf. It's not my favorite either but we sure ate a lot of it when I was a young newlywed. I thought of you making your lasagna from scratch while I was pouring my Costco spaghetti noodles into the boiling water last night!

TINA - I hope Frankie has a big wide-brimmed hat to wear. They really help. And if he's stationary while he's working, a shade canopy would be even better! I feel badly for him, and everyone out working in weather extremes.

BECCA - your poor hubby! Your, and IRISH's lives sound much like my SIL's life - 80% of her time is spent caring for my brother.

I came down with something yesterday - a sore throat and body aches. I so rarely get sick but this is my second 'sick' this year. I probably caught it visiting our neighbor in the hospital. I noticed a lot of sticky surfaces there and I probably touched them all!

I have enough sauce to make pasta again tonite. DH loves it, so a repeat isn't a problem for him. And he knows the alternative. . . .

Hello everyone,Sun just peeped out.We have had rain for last 4 days just late evening and nite.Things are really greening up.

Maryz Yes my life is like theirs. And dealing with his mood changes too isn't easy. But I look at it this way it could be worse.Even if it has been 22 yrs since his first stroke. And all downhill since health wise.I count my blessings & carry on.And we have a loving & supportive family .That means a lot to us.

Sure hope you beat the bug soon.Sure Bill will be fine on his own.Your Mom must have been brave or something having both at one time.My BF had both knees done at the same time and she said never again.

Carol Sure hope your hand or hands heal fast.Sure you will be happy when it's all healed.I too make smaller meat loaves.

Izzy When I read you were making the noodles homemade I thought wow. That was truly homemade all the way.Sure it was yummy.

It is banned food today. And limas for DH.Kale sauté for me with garlic.Cranberry sauce.Smores for DH. Becca

Good morning!

I am in between foldings of the bulletin for Church tomorrow -

We have a yummy banned dinner last night. I forgot how much I love banned pond fruit!

Tonight is up in the air - we will go and get the propane tanks refilled this morning and stop off at the grocery store for milk and see what may jump in the basket for dinner.

Mary - get well quick! Summer colds are no fun!

Becca - love how things get green with just the right amount of rain!

Well last batch of paper is here for me to fold - with the Ward growing in size, we need to print more and my fingers get tired! LOL
