SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, July 3rd
Good Morning!
and welcome to Eleanor's and Chriss's birthdays! I hope both have a terrific celebration!
We got home at 10:30 last night. Up at 5:30 this morning. I feel like we've been running and chasing our tail for the past month and still haven't managed to nab it! I am getting tired! This morning we leave for our DD's house in Bremerton - 30-mile drive. Then we all catch the ferry (walk on) to Seattle - 1-hr sailing - and walk a mile to the stadium where we'll meet my son and DIL. After that, we'll reverse the route. It will be an 11-hr day. We had to get a friend to come over to take Scottie out and come back later to feed him his supper. This, two days after I suggested she start a dog-walking business and put up cards at a nearby RV park and charge $20. Stupid me!! lol!! But all she wants is a bottle of wine, she said. This, we can do. ;o)
BECCA - yes, Oly is a bit of a drive - I think it was 52 miles door-to-door. But the drive home seemed a lot longer. So nice your little town has fireworks display. Ours did, too, when I was little, but now we have to drive to Tacoma or Seattle to see them in person. Instead, we watch them on TV.
JANA - what a bummer about the kids' house/framers! Why did the framers leave? Better pay elsewhere? Labor dispute? A shame to leave people hanging like that. I bet from your house you'll get a good view of lots of fireworks going off!
TINA - I agree about the fireworks. My animals were freaked lasts night with people setting off firecrackers. The shelters are full of lost pets in the days after the Fourth. I hope we get home tonite before they get too noisy.
I have no idea what kind of food we'll be having today. The kids got these baseball tickets and say they are in the 'cafe' that is in the stands. I'm not sure what that means. I doubt we'll starve. and if we do, we have leftover casserole to snack on when we get home. and cake. I love white cake.
Happy Fourth Eve!!

Hello everyone, nice day here & birds are singing.Love sitting on porch in early hrs.
Maryz You must live closer than I thought.I was judging from how far DGS has to get to Seattle. How far are you from Seattle? The ride Home is always longer.Have fun today at game with family.
We have ribs left from yesterday. And I am making potato salad & stir fri squash & onions.Have ice cream brownies & watermelon if wanted.
Happy 4 th to everyone. And God bless America. Becca

Oh goodness Mary, I don't envy you and your 11hour day! I think I'd be in the hospital if I spent 11 hours outside here in our heat.
Becca, your supper sounds so yummy!!!
I'm not sure what's for supper here but whatever it is I hope it's cooked on the grill. We had wind and lightning last night so I'm not sure if the weather will be grill friendly. We'll also have salad.

Good morning!
Mary - what a fun trip, but I don't envy your time out! You could drive from my house in Concord to my house in Utah in that amount of time! But a ball game, I love to be at the ballpark for games!
Becca - Happy 4th to you!
Tina - just wait 5 minutes, since your storms come from here - usually, the weather will change! LOL
Matt brought out dinner here last night, so today will be last night's dinner that I had planned - outrageous courageous nachos. Tomorrow I will do a rack of ribs - aaron will be home and I know that he will want to smoke them. I will add a potato salad and Sarah brought us fresh corn from the farm to have.
Tomorrow is the day that Sarah's choir and orchestra will be performing near here. She wants her Dad there especially as she is conducting the tribute to the armed forces music. It will be a difficult walk in for me, so we are seeing if we will go or not. No seating, just grass and bring your own chair, which also creates the problem. So we will see.
Enjoy!
