SUPPER CLUB - Fri, July 1st

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jul 01, 2016 2:59 am

Happy July!! Can you believe it? The year is officially half over.

Yesterday my sis spent most of the day with my brother and I got two more flowerbeds cleaned, two more loads of wash done, and spent two hours in the kitchen fixing a pretty good supper for company's last night here. We invited Jim & Terry, as well, and had a campfire and ate outside. A very nice last evening. This morning they will hit the road after rush hour. Though, since it's Friday before July 4th weekend, I'm not sure the traffic will die down until Tuesday.

BECCA - how is your hubby doing today after his run-in with the wasps?

TINA - did I hear you say chili rellenos??? And did I hear you whisper, "Mary, come to supper."???

JANA - Aaron's chicken sounds delicious to me! I like a bit of heat. Not enough to burn my mouth, but some . . .

This morning after my sister leaves, I'm going to get some more laundry done, hopefully finish the extra blocks I started yesterday for the PFTH to include with my swap blocks when I mail them off, and finish emptying/cleaning our trailer. Maybe I'll do one more flowerbed.

Tonite's supper will be leftovers - of course. Cold chicken, pasta salad, and a veggie to be named.

Happy cooking!

Mary, sounds like your supper was very enjoyable : ) and yes you did hear that whisper : )
We're going to see Mom and Dad today : ) I get to go through 4 totes of fabric and play while poor Frankie has to see if he can put some cable on Dads blazer that he forgot to put on before the engine was put back in. We're only staying till after lunch because Rosie and Duncan will be at the groomer.

Well since Mary didn't show up for her chili rellenos last night we'll have those leftovers for supper : )

Oh, Dad's heart is A-ok. Dr said he can do anything that his bones allow : )

Mom on the other hand has an enlarged liver and spleen so they have her scheduled for an ultrasound next week and they took 10 viles of blood yesterday.

Hello everyone,Nice cool morning here.Got my walk in.Cut my flowers, watered beds & dead headed the plants.Just stopped for break.

Maryz What a lovely evening you had for the send off.Safe travels because there will be lots of traffic.
The sting is still swollen but isn't itching & is going down. They got him good on his hand.

Tina Glad a Dad got a thumbs up at Dr.Mom must have felt like she gave all she had.

I am still debating on what meat to get out of freezer.Think I may go & make chicken salad.Havent had any in years. We have watermelon & fresh veggies from neighbor. Will be brocolli I think.I made DH a banana split yesterday & he was a happy camper.
