Daily Devotion 6/28

I can remember when I was young telling my mom I wanted to be beautiful like the models; her reply was beauty fades, its the inside that doesnt. She was so right. Each morning I look in the mirror and wonder where my youth went LOL:) I have always been a people person but I always said I was born in the wrong era. I love the elderly and listening to how life once was. I love watching shows that put people in the homesteads of yesteryear living off the land and not consumed my frivolous material things.

As a society we have turned to our self image, and self worth over what GOD wants us to do with our lives. What is your true purpose on this earth. Is it to have vain beauty deceitful favour? or is it to Fear the Lord and serve HIM?

May you read the Word today and Love Him more. I have started a new study from Max Lucado's book "When God Whispers your Name". Have you heard your name lately? Are you listening or too busy living it up in this world of "me".

May God call you to be a witness today:)

God Bless
Izzy

I have wondered what God is going to have me do with my life. And I see how everything fell into place to get me where I am today.

Great verse Izzy. and your study book sounds neat too.

There is so much to learn from the older generation. But then, we too will be that generation and share all that we have learned.

In teaching my girls, I get to do just that. Teach them to "live in the world, but not of it". Showing them the inner beauty they each possess and see that light in their eyes shine.

I too often wonder who is that old lady staring back at me in the mirror!
