SUPPER CLUB. Tues April 19

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Apr 19, 2016 4:03 am

Good morning from Yakima! Weather is purrfect. Today it will be a little too purrfect at 88'. Yesterday my friend and I went into town to quilt shops and thrift stores. Found a lot of treasures. First time I have driven our huge new pick up. And it had to be in a very busy strange town, looking for addresses. But I didn't scratch it!

Tina, keeping your parents in my thoughts.

My friend and I only have taken turns cooking supper here. And tonight I am making tacos, rice, and beans. We will probably cook outside on our gas stove so as not to heat up our trailer. We have cake for after's. Since we are in the heart of wine country, there may even be a bottle or two of wine on the table

What is the supper story at your house?

Good morning from a sunny, warm, gorgeous SW.Pa....Yep, another day in Paradise!

So good to hear from Mary and sounds like she's having a very good time...And better yet, no scratches on the big red truck.....

This is going to be a quickie...Our lunch plans were changed, time wise, and I have to get moving...One of the gals is a "snowbird" and just got back from Florida and has had a busy week so far...Before she left, she bought a smaller house and was having it completely remodeled...She put her big house on the market on Monday and sold it Tuesday night (with the help of St. Joseph) so today after lunch, we're going to check out the new house....I know it's going to make me want put mine on the market, lol.....
So, that's my day and as far as dinner...Well, the spaghetti and meatballs were pretty tasty last night and I'm sure they'll be even better tonight....And who knows, I might even bring home a goodie or 2....
Happy eating.................

Good morning! I posted in the sew in earlier, then DH came home and I had to stop and fix breakfast.

MaryZ—good for you with no dents! The best part of it all is your “treasures”! Camping sounds like fun, but you are going for almost 90 there today!

Irish—I thought I was having a quickie in the sew in today, but I posted a long one. Your friend certainly sold her home quickly! Have fun today!!!

Tina—I hope things will get better for your Mom and Dad!!! HUGS!!! I’m sure you are really concerned for both of them.

Carole—yes, I did make a cake last week rather than a cookie. It was a “take” on a Jack Daniels label… Old No. 50 – Genuine Vintage Dude. It brought a lot of laughs and tasted yummy.

Please check the sew in to see how my days are occupied. I need to get into my sewing room and make stitches flow! My DD’s friend had an emergency c-section, so now I’m making TWIN BOY quilts! I had made a girlie quilt and a boy quilt for whichever one it was… Surprise!!! I do have the cutest fabric that is perfect for little boys.

Dinner tonight… I threw a roast in the crock pot. It might be shredded beef. DH doesn’t really like pot roast. I know, Un-American!!! I’ll throw something to go together with it.

Hi all :) I could've sworn I posted here earlier. Hmmmm I'm lost I guess. Lol
I've got red chili meat in the crock pot and salad will be our supper.
Talked to Mom, she's staying at least another day at the hospital, Nobody seems to know what's going on, Dad said he's going to get some answers that this is ridiculous! My morning was a little rough but I got through it, tomorrow is my day off so I'm hoping and praying I can stay home and get caught up on my Bloom blocks at least. My sciatic nerve has been screaming at me lately so I'm hoping I don't have to do any driving. ...
Kevin is supposed to come home this week.
