SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Jan 5th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Jan 05, 2016 2:49 am

Good Morning!

Is everyone warm enough? We are 5*-10* warmer than we were, but instead of sun, we now have rain which makes it FEEL colder.

JANA - After reading your announcement about yesterday being National Spaghetti Day, we changed our menu here to honor that tasty dish. Thanks! Let's hope the new changes in your Niners brings about just that - changes!

BECCA - Well, if we have to play your team, I'm hoping for changes there, too!! lol!!

IRISH - I'm so sorry for the extra challenges you and Jim face every day. We know two other couples, good friends or ours, who are going through the same thing. It ain't easy being you! Yet you bring a smile to the table every day! thank you!

CHICKIE - if you ever get to my house for supper, I'm going to make you taco-foo-yung! Or would you prefer foo-yung-enchciladas? lol!!

CAROL 7 - What's happening in your kitchen tonite?

TINA - I know you went back to babysitting and had all three yesterday. You were probably face down in canned soup by 5pm! lol! Oh, and I want to ask you - what time of year is it that you get your chilies and freeze them?

LADY CAROL - how's the nursing gig going?

Well, the black bean enchiladas were put on hold thanks to JANA. We ended up with spaghetti last night and tonite, since the rolls are fresh, we are having Yankee dip sandwiches with french fries and salad. THEN, I'll make those enchiladas.

What will be steaming up your kitchen window tonite?

Good Morning Everyone!
Did I miss yesterday? We had leftover Parmesan Chicken, with potatoes, broccoli and salad. Tonight think I will get some meat sauce from freezer and prepare pasta and a salad to go with it, also the requisite garlic toast.

Maryz - Thanks for asking. Glad you enjoyed the game over the weekend.

Jana - Did you see the note I wrote on Saturday about the green bags?
They really do work well.

Irish - You are in my prayers for all the challenges.

Tina - Hope you slept well. Taking care of three children is a lot of work.

Chickie - You always have such interesting days!

Becca - Hope your DH is feeling well today. I pray for him too.

I am off to the gym this morning, it should be raining. I am working this afternoon, it is a third grade class that is very well behaved, we will see how they do in the rain. ugh!

Wish I could tell you my sewing room is clean, but I did get the top of the desk cleared.

Carol

I did make it here yesterday but only got a chance to read. Yesterday was very tiring but I survived, I'm down to just the 2 boys today. I went for my thread yesterday and waited for almost a half hour and she never showed, her business hours said she should've been opened but I know she has an elderly mom so maybe she was there, I just hope all is ok with them all, she had open heart surgery a couple years ago. She's also a school bus driver. We had the rest of our leftover soup last night, I sure was glad to have that on hand.
Mary, we do our chili on labor day weekend usually, we did it about 3 weeks early this year because we were out. DS's girlfriend gave us a big sack of dried red at Christmas :-) her dad is a contractor for chili and the workers.
Tonight will be new food, not sure yet what though......I'll let you know when I do hopefully ;-)

Good morning,

Carole - yes, I saw the post and will look into them. Thanks

Mary - Glad to be of assistance in meal changing! LOL OK, today in National Whip Cream Day, on the birthday of the inventor of Reddi Whip. Now we all need a can and open our mouths!

Dinner is easy tonight, I am doing my broccoli tortellini polska kielbasa one pot dinner. If I get ambitious, I will make some whole wheat bread.

Got my floors washed and waxed, now the rugs need to be washed. Even caught up the laundry and washed the throw rugs in front of the doors. More on the cleaning list, trying to get a jump on spring cleaning.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good very late afternoon, early evening from a cold, dark, SW. Pa...This has to be the latest I've been here in a long while.....

And guess what, dinner is over.....
I had a really, really fun day...1st thing, I had an appointment with my "ticker doc" and even though I told him everything is OK, he wants me to have another Echocardiogram, which I agreed to, only because that means another lunch somewhere along the line....The gals in the office are so nice, I actually had a good visit...Then I met up with my sister at JoAnn's (really did some damage), then stopped at a few other stores, had lunch at Steak n Shake and then stopped at Altmeyers (drape and rug store) and did more damage there...By the time I got home, I was whipped.....
Tomorrow, Jim goes for blood work and I'm sure if I play my cards right, I'm hoping for a late breakfast at Ihop and then stop at Walmart.....

Mary, I've often thought, life it's self is a challenge, some of the curves we're thrown are a little more trying...But, this is a part of our life and we muddle through.....But, I often think I'm very, very blessed.....

Becca, I feel bad about your "challenges" but I'm happy to know another Frick and Frack....And I agree, spaghetti is always better the 2nd go round.....

Tina, I'm in awe when I read about your days....You are indeed an amazing lady.....I sure hope you sleep good at night, you need it!

Carol, clearing off the desk top is a start, a good start.....And you're doing the pasta thing too......

Well, guess I'd better get moving...It's now time to get the fur babies their bed time snack and they are both giving me the "LOOK"

Oh, Jim's dinner was left over ham/cabbage and potatoes....I'm still stuffed from lunch......

Have a good evening...................

I'm back :-) I'm making tacos. I made it into town and got my thread.
I have you all hoodwinked LOL I have no energy, I feel like a drowning ship, I'm scared to death to be watching 2 little ones, I think some days that a nervous breakdown is in the forecast, I'm not wonder woman at all, more like basketcase woman. Shhhhhhh it's a secret though. I have sleep apnea and I'm an insomniac, lately I have been sleeping pretty good at night.
