Happy Saturday Eve!
Our lasagna turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. I made my special sauce that simmers for 3 hours on the stove or all day in the crockpot - guess which one I chose! The only problem with lasagna is the leftovers! There were six of us and we still had enough to part out and freeze for DH and I for four more meals. I didn't keep out any leftovers because we are eating out tonite with Warren and tomorrow is turkey dinner with the kids. - more leftovers! I also froze two nights of stew leftovers earlier this week. We're trying to eat down the freezer, but we seem to be filling it up instead! I would have taken some to my brother and SIL but she doesn't like pasta in any form, and he's too sick to eat much right now.
IRISH - I hope you find your steaks someplace. Maybe this calls for another road trip! I'm sure your sis will be up for riding shotgun! I think of Joanne, too. I sent her a Christmas card and said we all still think of her.
BECCA - I got side-tracked from your ornaments by making a couple of doll quilts. But I did get a couple of circles sewn together - just didn't get any further than that - yet.
JANA - I hope your weather behaves through the holidays. Has it stopped snowing yet?
TINA - You are probably still kissing your pillow. Happy Vacation!!
CHICKIE - I have seen your sewing room, and it's a beautiful place filled with inspiration! What's the fun of a tidy sewing room? I wish I could be more like you! Though, my sewing room is only 10' x 10'. Now sure where I'd put more projects. But in my NEXT house . . . .
Today I need to finalize my menu for tomorrow for our family Christmas and shop for whatever I need. I also want to finish my doll quilts and add some muslin mattress covers, pillows and pillow cases and deliver them. Then we'll go have supper with Warren and give him his "Life of Warren" quilt. I'm excited to do that! Other than that, nothing going on here today! lol!

How sweet of you to make the doll quilts.Some little girl will be happy.And know Warren will love his quilt.
I made more bowl cozies & mixed up cookie dough to bake today.Just finished mixing sugar cookie dough.Letting it all chill.Got all my bags & presents finished.Just baking left.
DH wants Mac n cheese chowder .i will make me a big salad with T--a on top.So it is banned food day here.Got some ginger cookies for later.....Becca

Good morning from a cold, dreary, sunless, SW. Pa...Didn't I tell you it was coming...Not sure what "it" is but I don't like it!
Mary, Oh how I wish I lived closer, I'd help with those leftovers....I love, love lasagna but not one of Jim's favorite but I do sneak it in every once in awhile....AND, as far as that road trip, it might happen, if we can fit it in...The store is in Cranberry which is a good hour away and where we made many trips to see my sister's wrist/hand doctor...AND the 1st thing my sister said, you know that's where that good Chinese buffet is! She's always thinking....
Becca, I'll bet your house really smells good...Sugar and cinnamon, 2 of my favorite cookies....Might just have to get some baking done in this household....
Today, Have 1 more throw to do but not today...Need to do some heavy uglies before the Board of Health shows up, lol....Beds are changed, tree is finally up and decorated and after the uglies, really need to get the boxes wrapped...Still waiting for a package to come and haven't mailed Kathy's box yet, so I'm really, really behind....
Cari and her fellow are coming in tonight and will be here for the weekend and we'll be having a pre Christmas dinner tomorrow....
Mary, forgot to tell you, Cari has adopted another kitten...This 1 is a 5 month old little girl, black and white and looks like her other 2...Cari said, she had forgotten how much fun a kitten is and how much energy they have......
As for dinner tonight, If I can't have Mary's left overs, I'm thinking a pizza delivery would be purrrrrfect!

I'm just now getting to the table, we had all 3 kids today, I'm wiped out! Took a long soak in a very warm hot bath for my back, sciatic nerve and legs. Frankie is taking me out so I can have a relaxing end to my day. I'm off till the 4th, I need it! I have about 5' of binding left to do, then the label and in the mail in the morning.
