SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Dec 14th
Good Morning!
I woke up to rain, but I think it's stopped now! Still dark out but a dry day is predicted! We'll be spending part of the time outside, cleaning up storm debris and the last of the tree that came down.
JANA - a 4-day snowstorm?? I've never experienced such an event. I hope you don't lose internet because I want daily reports! Tomato soup and grilled cheese is one of Bill's favorite suppers. But he likes me to add a can of tomatoes and some basil to the soup.
TINA - just that hour-long phone call would have done me in! Forget the shopping! You are such a good daughter! I, too, try to buy for each person, taking their likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc into account. But I have a friend who always buys things to suit HER tastes. She says she hopes her gift recipients won't like the gift and will give it back to her! She actually said that!
IRISH - We've been waiting for Father Nature to come and clean up his mess, but so far, he's a no-show. Bill is always two-stepping all over our roof! Makes me so nervous. He's 67 and seems sturdy on his feet, but he did "ski" right off my parents' roof once several years ago. Fortunately, it was the 'low' side of the house. So I know it can happen! Wish I were going along with you and your big little sister on Tuesday! Sounds like there's trouble to be gotten into and I hate the thought of missing out on that!
CHICKIE - those ribs will be falling off the bone! No gnawing necessary! I like really rainy days where you can just cozy up in the house. But after the fourth or fifth day, it does get old! Especially since the dogs HAVE to go out - and then come back in again!
BECCA - I see your Panthers did it again! They are really on a roll! Our Seahawks won, too, but one of the best players (who was subbing for one of the best players who is out with surgery) broke his ankle and is out for the season now. That's quite a blow to our team.
Supper tonite will be leftover pizza. I really loaded it up last night with lots of toppings and added a big salad, so there was enough to feed us for two nights. I love having no-cook evenings!
Will you be cooking tonite?

Good morning from a semi sunny (so far), chilly, (so far), SW. Pa...But, we're promised another great day in the "burg".....
Mary, I think I'd be tempted to just let the storm stuff lay there until the next big wind takes it away...That's my answer to all the leaves that fall in our yard, sometimes it works, neighbors aren't too happy, lol.....And as far as the Tuesday shopping adventure, it might be one of those "bail needing" days....Just never know with my sister....
Jana, Just yesterday, I was talking to a friend and we both said, we'd like to have a good snow storm, one that kept everyone home and inside..BUT, 4 days is a bit much....
Today is a "run around" day....I'm stopping at the church to drop off yarn for the Sleeping Bag crew, also dropping off quart jars for the ladies who make and deliver soup to the needy, then JoAnn's and boy what a list...My fleece blanket list is growing and time is running short..................
As for dinner, I have this "bag of stuff" in the freezer..It's one of those all in 1 meals, with little "mac n cheese" thingies, fried rice and all those good things...Not one of Jim's favorites but taking up room in the freezer....If I get back from my running, I'll try to bake something...DGS, Dan, is stopping down tonight and I'm sure he'll want something.............
Happy eating................

Mary--If I don't see the sun for a day, I get morose and grumpy and sad and miserable. A little rain for cozy is good, but too much is disastrous... both inside and out!!!
The ribs were perfect! I have some for tonight, or I might make fajitas with some meat I have. I'm leaning to the fajitas...
Irish--if it's a work saver and taking up room in the freezer... you have my blessing--in fact I'll help you with those little m 'n c thingies!!! Enjoy!!!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Dec 14th
Good morning,
Snow report - snowing lightly - I have about 6 inches on the ground. Aaron just called and he lives across the valley, up on the bench, he got about 18 inches so far. His landlord is in Florida and Aaron needs to buy a shovel, so he can clear the drive and walks up there. Sarah called as she was leaving for the farm. I teased as she started backing out of the garage that she would slide down her steep driveway - she was! The truck is a four wheel drive - it is now in it ! Joseph, her DH came to drop off Ethan and shovelled for us. Vinae lives in Eagle Mountain, south of me and close to 8000 homes have lost power. I am usually in a protected corner of the valley. The time I get it bad is when there is lake effect snow coming across the Great Salt Lake.
Dinner - my baked chicken with a parmesan coating and broccoli.
No mailing of Daniel's package today - tomorrow will work too.
Hugs,
Jana

Mary, my moms favorite color is blue, my sisters is pink and mine purple....when Mom buys she always gets her favorite color and it drives my sister bonkers! LOL I think that's why I'm not a huge fan of blues.
I'll be making Spicey Pork Tenderloins tonight, Frankie loves them
and either half of a baked sweet potato or salad.
