SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Dec 10th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Dec 10, 2015 4:30 am

Good Morning!

It's not raining this morning! Though the forecast says it will be soon. We got most of the downed tree cleaned up yesterday, but my 'helper' pooped out on me and called it at 2:30. So the driveway turnaround is still blocked. Plus lots of other branches and blowdown to be picked up and dumped into the slash pile in the woods. it will make the little critters happy!

BECCA - I think it is just the cat's meow that your little DGD wants to learn to knit and sew! And did I read something about turtle brownies? I'm in!!

TINA - I remember being in a Christmas pageant once when I was pretty small. I think I was an angel - which meant, of course, that I had to be an angel for Halloween for as long as that costume fit me!

CHICKIE - I will keep Doyal's former co-worker in prayer. How is your mom doing?

JANA - did you get those lights fixed yet so you can decorate your tree? Could your tree go in a different spot? And where is the train? You DO have a train up for Christmas, right?? This is probably a silly question, but did you ever go to the train museum in Sacramento? How many times is probably more appropo to you and Michael. Isn't it a great museum!

I am stuck on supper tonite. I think we'll have eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. I'm in a breakfast mood. Tomorrow is company, so I'll be spending a lot of time cooking tomorrow.

What kind of food mood are you in?

Last night, we repeated and had burgers again. The package came with four patties. We just decided to go ahead and do burgers for two nights.

I really appreciate DH and all he does for me, but OH I can't wait to have my freedom back!!!

Tonight is Potluck at our Club House. Yummmmm! I am taking corn. I mix Freezer whole kernel corn with one can of cream style. It is so good. Easy to spoon out and serve, too. My grandkids love it better than just plain whole kernel corn.

It will be an easy dish for me to fix.

have a great meal!!

Good afternoon!

Mary - oh yes, we have been at that museum many times. Since Matt was a baby in arms and he is 36 now!

The lights are done, Michael is working on the box to raise the tree a few more inches off the floor, to clear the train and taking good care of me. We went out to dinner on Tuesday and I got food poisoning. Oh, I never want to be this sick again! Feel like I was hit by a truck, and then it backed over me again! Today I am finally feeling better.

Dinner, I get chicken soup and Michael is in his own. He is not a cook, so it will be interesting

Enjoy,
Jana
