SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Nov 24th
Good Morning!
Happy Thanksgiving Eve Eve!
Yesterday I finished up our entire front yard. Even stacked some wood and cleaned up the woodshed. I am 80% finished with the yard work but bad weather, Bill's wrist, TG, and a Z-family dinner at Olive Garden on Saturday will eat up much of the upcoming week. I've also been pecking away at Warren's quilt. I have the 9th block almost finished. and need to hit Joann's for the making's for the last three. Then I can start putting it together. It's really exciting to do a quilt that has so much meaning.
IRISH - we, and Mr. Schwann's, are so happy to have you back amongst the upright and dressed!! Hope you are fully recovered! Will you have a crowd at your house, be part of someone else's crowd, or have a more quiet celebration? (I have to say, I don't think I'd mind having the body of a 12 yr old. Has to be better than this body I have of a 64 yr old!)
BECCA - I hope your UTI hasn't traveled to your kidneys. Then they get more aggressive. Mine did last year and they brought out the big gun antibx.
TINA - are you getting in any sewing these days? You are a busy, busy lady!
JANA - glad you got that diaper bag finished. I was sweating it for you. EIGHT layers of fleece?? Yikes! My poor "Stitch" would be cringing!
CHICKIE - glad you aren't in the path of some of the storms they are showing on the news. Though the news does tend to dramatize everything.
What's everyone doing for TG? We are going to my son's in Renton, about an hour away. I am taking asparagus, rolls, and appetizer. My nephew and his wife will be there, too. And we all love board games, so we'll while away the evening doing that. Since it's such a long drive home and we don't do night driving so well anymore, we got a motel and will come home the next day. Saturday we are going to Olive Garden with Bill's family. I suggested we should plan a get-together for between TG and Christmas, Bill worded it such that they all thought he meant THIS weekend, so that's what it will be.
In the meantime, we have to eat tonite, right? I'm not sure what Bill will feel like eating. I think soup and grilled cheese will be on the menu.

Good morning!
Mary - hope all goes well for Bill today. Let me clarify the fleece - it was only one place, the top stitching to hold the lining where it belongs. The fronts have two layers each and the lining each have one, and then there is the pockets on the outside. So I only fight that last seam.
Hint - for those who make totes that have bottoms, use a piece of plexiglass - plastic - it is washable and makes a nice sturdy bottom. Lowes will cut the plexi for me for free too. I use the fusible fleece by Pellon. My diaper bags still look good and hold up, even after 4 years of use.
OK, dinner - who knows! Something will strike my fancy later today.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from a semi sunny, but chilly, SW. Pa...It's really only in the 40s so I guess that means it's cold!.....
Mary, please give Bill my "good wishes" and hope the hurt goes away real quick....You know, he's going to need special care for a couple of days, or as most men, few weeks.....
And for our Thanksgiving, we will be going to Kevin's...His wife loves to cook and puts out a spread like no other....She called last night to tell me what she has planned and I would be content to just sit beside the appetizer table and forget the turkey....Terry and Stephan will be going with us...And Kathy's oldest DD, Jackie and her fellow are coming in from Philadelphia and also will be with us...AND then on Friday, Jackie has decided we all should go to the movies...She is our teacher who will never grow up and loves all the animated films...So, everyone is going to see the Dinosaur movie, not sure what the name is but we'll be there...And then of course Dan is taking us to Burgatory (great exotic burger place) for dinner and said, they have the best pumpkin pie shakes....By Sat. I'll be ready for a rest but I think they'll all be here for breakfast and then Jackie has to head back to Philadelphia.....Thank goodness they're all big enough to help out.....
Becca, so sorry to hear you're having problems, painful problems....Praying the doctor gets to the bottom of it and you'll be feeling better soon.....I don't know about you, but when I'm ailing, just want to be left alone and it's kind of hard when you have a big family...Feel better my friend.....
Jim and I went to Aldi this morning...He really doesn't like to shop but I kind of begged him to go...Needed someone to lug those bags to the car.....
As far as dinner, left over meat loaf and mixed veggies....That's as good as it gets......
Happy eating....................
