SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Nov 18th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Nov 18, 2015 3:33 am

Good Morning!

If you see CINDY G today, wish her happy birthday!

We survived the wind/rain storm, but it IS heading east. . . .

BECCA - that is quite a project you are involved in at your church! But so worth while! MY DDIL does similiar work in her church.

CHICKIE - I can picture your "leftover sleepover" scene! haha! Love your dogs! Seems like Boomer fits right in! The Red Lobster biscuits are good, and so handy for busy days. But your homemades are better. ;o)

JANA - my Denver sis tells me the same thing - don't believe the weather reports! The news these days are in the entertainment business and they dramatize everything. If you're happy with the weather you have, then I'm happy.

TINA - everything takes so long in the medical world. Dec 4th? Really?? Sorry you have to go back to babysitting so soon. Seems you just 'went on vacation'! Hope it all goes OK.

I finished my Christmas Clams yesterday! Hooray! It's ready to go onto the quilting frame today and I hope DH finds the time. He's at a stopping place with his 'manly' projects, so maybe he'll be able to get to mine. Today, after a haircut appt, I'm going to make the binding for that and also make a wall-hanging for my DD.

Our chicken/corn/black bean/rice/green chili/kitchen sink chowder last night was delish! and there's more for tonite. I might even remember the biscuits tonite!

Happy Hump Day!

Maryz Our DGS that lives in WA said their power was out 2 times yesterday.Had hi winds, even blowed his grill he said. That is a strong wind.

Tina Missed what is Dec 4 but prayers that all goes well.

Chickie Your doggie story brought smiles to me.

Mary, I had to cancel the PT, they called this morning and said I hadn't met my deductible yet and each visit would be $120, ha I don't have that, besides the pains are gone now.
Becca, I always get so upset too when they get hurt, hugs to you both, I love their names! :-) I was going to have physical therapy on the 4th but I cancelled after they called and told me how much I'd have to pay.
Sadly we have insurance and really can't afford to use it, I'm sure you all are in the same boat as us.
I have 4 loaves of banana nut bread in the oven, just fed Easton his lunch, did all this while Preston slept in his swing :-) Easton will be going down for his nap in a few minutes, I'm sure Preston will be ready to get up by then, whew. LOL
I'm making vegetable beef soup for supper, it's been so cold here with all this wind we've been having.

Good afternoon! It’s a miracle! The sun is shining, and it makes me feel so good and much more productive. I don’t do dark and gloomy!!!

The dogs and I walked down and had a great time with Ava. We also romped in the yard here for awhile with balls and a batting stuffed fleece toy I made for Boomer. He doesn’t like balls, and when he came into my sewing room and swiped a FQ, I knew it was time to find him his own toy. Well, he LOVED it! He ran around throwing it in the air and pouncing on it. I’m sure it won’t last out the day, as I saw him chewing on it awhile ago. Odie likes to play keep away with his tennis ball, and Tinker Bell just carries hers around and smiles with it in her mouth.

Becca—my DGD was about two and fell at my house. It required a trip to the ER for some stitches in her chin. Of course, since she was being adopted through the state as a foster child and was still on MEDICAID inquiries were made… abuse was always suspected. It was hard to convince them it was an accident.

Tina—YUM, banana bread! I keep hoping for some bananas to use here for some bread, but they are eaten before they “mature”.

Tina—that is expensive PT! I don’t know what my DDIL was paying for her therapy. I know what you mean about having insurance and can’t afford to use it.

Mary—I’m looking forward to seeing your Christmas clams completed! Your “chowder” sounds delicious!!!

We had pizza last night with whole wheat crust and loaded with veggies on my side. DH had Italian sausage and turkey pepperoni. It really was delicious—so much in fact that I had some again for breakfast. There is a small piece left of my side and plenty for DH for dinner tonight. I might have some of the taco soup and save the pizza for tomorrow’s breakfast. It’s actually brunch when we eat, so I don’t mind lunch-type foods. I’d actually rather have breakfast food for supper.

Enjoy!

Good afternoon,

DH took me out on a wild goose chase! He is looking for a DISH retailer to by some gizmo to make the TV work easier downstairs. Thought he remembered the address, NOT! Called Sarah and the address is only in Google's imagination! No such street. So we will just call and have it sent.

It is cold here, gray too! The sun peeks out for a brief instance and then goes back into hiding. A little bit of spitting snow.

There is still soup, but I am done with it, so chicken with a lime cilantro sauce and rice will be on the plate.

Maryz - nothing takes you long to master - hope it is quilted soon.

Chickie - more cold and snow is on the way - you can see my house from space too - I have all the lights on as well.

Becca - oh that hurts! Ethan does that too - just too curious!

Enjoy,
Jana
