Good Morning!
Not much going on around here this week. Kind of nice to take a break from the action, because there's just been so much action here ever since mid-June. I'm enjoying the lull before the holidays. Is it too early to do some baking and put it into the freezer. . . .?
IRISH - glad your mom rescued you from that dentist. we only had one dentist in those olden days and he was also the town mayor. My parents dropped me off and came back 3 hours later to pick me up. Being only 9, I knew better than to complain about an adult. But my LDH#1 had a harrowing experience, too - When he was 14, he was sitting in the chair and the dentist left the room for a bit. It was a hot summer day and the window was open. And a rabid dog jumped through the window!! The dentist saw from the hallway and reached in and grabbed Michael by his collar and hauled him backward up and out of the chair and into the hallway and slammed the door. Mike got to go home that day with no work done! He was scared but said it was worth it! lol!
JANA - homemade bread bowls! Wow! you rock! Er . . . I mean you COOK!! And thanks for the reminder that I have a lot of broccoli in the freezer! I should make broccoli cheese soup, too.
TINA - I see your ISBS swap is filling up. There are so many cute Sues! What a fashion show they are putting on!
CHICKIE - how are your furr-patients doing? I saw your little Japanese Sue! Awesome!!
I suppose there will have to be supper again tonite. Some days I just almost can't do it. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels that way! I could make that broccoli cheese soup - or I have 2-serving packets of lentils that you just open, heat, and pour over hot rice (or whatever you want to pour it over. It's not DH's favorite, so we can't tell him ahead of time, but it's so EASY! I have salad makings, too. I want a simple, no-leftovers kind of dish tonite because tomorrow night is company and a big pot of chili which will generate leftovers. So - one of those two dishes - the soup or the lentils. Decisions!
Hope your kitchen decision is easier tonite!

Good morning from a very sunny but chilly, SW. Pa...It is a gorgeous morning, if you're inside looking out, lol....
Mary, wow, what a story! A rabid dog verses the dentist, both are nasty but I guess I'd take the dentist.....And for sure you're not alone in the "can't do, don't want to do" department..Thank goodness Jim will eat just about anything I put in front of him....If he was a picky eater, we'd have a real problem.....
But, we were out and about early, going to Mass at 8:00 then back home....No breakfast out because I'm going to lunch...Buddy Ted's, wife, called and asked to borrow a car carrier...She has an outside/inside cat and said she found a tick on him and wants the vet to check him...He is our Babygirls's brother but as different as night and day...He's a huge orange/white gorgeous male and Babygirl is grey long haired petite (with a fat belly) girl (who stays inside)...
There is absolutely nothing going on at this house today...Along with lunch, I have a few errands to run and then back out partying again tonight....One of these days, I'll get back to the uglies....
As far as dinner....I always keep little frozen dinners, some I've bought, some I've made up with leftovers so that will be on the menu for Jim tonight....He does have a favorite, Salsbury steak, gravy and mashed potatoes so he just might be in for a treat tonight.....
Happy eating.................

Hello. All for rainy NC.I believe WA sent us their rain. This is the 4 or 5 day here, not used to this much.Today it is mostly drizzle.
Maryz Everyday is not wanting to cook here.I think you just get worn out & having to decide.Ugh!
DD left so we are back to Frick n Frat as Irish & Lady Carol says. Her bvisits goes so fast but she helped me get rid of clothes & baskets.DGD who has the new house wanted the baskets to use to decorate with. And Denise's church is having a Winter clothes drive so off they went & I was happy.DH said where did you. Have all those baskets.I laughed.I still have some as I used to collect them.
I baked 1 large & 5 small loaves of banana nut bread.Still have BBQ for DH.And My last bowl of soup. Becca
