SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Oct 9th
Good Morning!
Yesterday was a bit of puttering in my sewing room and then outside to do a little work. Ugh! There's way more than a "little" out there!
TINA - congratulations on little Preston! Glad he finally arrived! Sorry he's having a bit of a breathing issue, but I'm certain that will be resolved shortly. It's very common.
BECCA - I remember you weren't feeling so well before we left for Chicago, but I thought you were over that! What a big bummer to feel icky for for so long! Glad you're improving now.
CHICKIE - glad you are back at the table!
JANA - you have 3 "expecteds" on the way now, don't you? Such joy for your family!
IRISH - I bet Jim didn't starve last night. What was for lunch? And I was wrong. Steelers didn't play last night I don't think. We DVR everything so we can skip the commercials and I think I was seeing an ad for a past week. But you're right - I'm no Vick fan either. I was worried our Hawks would pick him up!
Supper tonite will be at Warren's assisted living facility. Our friend, Tex, caught some - gag - halibut while we were in Alaska. He is making it tonite for Warren. I am taking a crock pot potato dish and others are bringing salad and pie. I've been told that there will also be chicken. Insert smiley face here.
And what's making you smile for tonite's repast?

Good morning from a gorgeous sunny but chilly, SW. Pa...We're only to warm up to the mid or high 60s but as long as we have the sun, I'll be satisfied......
Mary, I think the Steelers play next Monday evening but not sure....Our Hockey season started last night with our Penguins loosing...I had forgotten all about it and went to bed about 9:00...Shopping and lunching really tire me out....
And speaking of those tiring things, my sister, Kevin's wife, Cindy and another gal are picking me up in about 1/2 hour and we're off to a giant warehouse auction and then lunch...I just texted Kathy, Chris's wife, to see if she wanted to join us for lunch....Gee another tiring day.....Maybe I'll stay home and rest up....
As far as dinner, that pot of sauce and meat balls might make it to the table tonight (for Jim).....Afters might have to be store bought cookies and ice cream...Someone in this house should stay home and bake something......one of these days.......
Happy eating...............gotta run!

Hello everyone,Fall day here & the leaves are starting their color show.
Mary z it felt so good yesterday to feel better once again.Been a slow haul.Enjoy your gathering whatever it holds.
Irish You are painting the town yet again. So good to be you.Just enjoy while you can.
Tina So happy for all that baby arrived.Hope both are doing great..
Chickie Your life on the farm is never dull.
Jana All those sweet grands make life more fun.I got a laugh yesterday. One of my DGSs called. He said Nana I wanted to know if it will be ok if my family comes to visit the Sat after Thanksgiving.Papa said he is getting an early start.Cracked me up.Of course that means eat too.
I have some BBQ chicken in the freezer .Will add the beans we had leftover. And coleslaw.DH has a cherry pie. That will take care of us.
Our friends that used to live here are coming to visit today so that will be fun, they come once a year.We used to be walking buddies.
Have a great day everyone...Becca

Good Afternoon All......weather not too bad.....a bit misty earlier on.....but its warming up now.....sun is even trying to break through.......
it has been a bit of a manic few days.......nothing too serious.....just trying to get a man ready and off on his "lads weekend" in Spain......always said I had 5 kids not 4......
the "take off" has come and gone......they should shortly be touching down on terra ferma very soon.....all 12 of them......and peace reins for the next few days....sigh......
Tomorrow I will be meeting up with half of my Bristol family in Monmouth.....a lovely little town in Wales.....for a "little" fabric trip and lunch out and a bus trip thrown in.....actually....2 bus trips.....4 if you count the homeward bound ones......
I am pleased to say....my "tumblers" are now flimsies waiting to be sandwhiched......but I can cope with that.....let me just say.....there should have been a swear box by the sewing machine whilst I was frogging......
so....there is NO menu today.....lunch out......lunch out again tomorrow.....oh...its good to be me for 4 whole days......

Hi Everyone,
For once it is still only 10:40 in the morning and I have already planned dinner! Tonight will be a Pork Chop Skillet Dinner. Everything in one pan on top of range. It is very warm here already. Lori, zfatcat, has it warmer than I do, but still very warm here, so dinner on top of range will be welcomed.

Good afternoon,
Good to see so many eating today!
Mary - I only have 2 official ines on the way - the third is a iffy for adoption.
Dinner is tortilla soup. Michael has asked for soup at least twice a week. So that helps in planning.
Enjoy!

Good afternoon! I've managed to find some leftovers in the fridge for dinner tonight. I might have to find some add-ins veggies, but I think we can scrounge a meal. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day.
The dogs and I have walked down and played with Ava. We are about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday, and everyone was happy to run and play... I just walked sedately befitting my age. OF course, it doesn't mean I don't have to hustle if Ava jerks her leash from my hands and chases after the big dogs which happens much too regularly. She's small but oh so feisty!
Tina, congratulations!!!
Mary--save your portion of dinner for me!!! YUM!!!
Becca--glad you are feeling better!
Lady Carol--I'm using the ripper today, too. I just don't do good free-motion quilting on my little sewing machine. A stitch regulator would sure be nice, but I doubt that even that would make my quilting presentable.
Irish--you are just gallivanting all over the place... love that lunch is included in your activities!!!
Carol--I'm so ready for the cooler weather! Dinner sounds good!
Time to go rip some more, then I'm going to try again... what's that they say about the definition of insanity??? (I know what it is, and I am proof!!!)
