SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, October 1st
Good Morning!
We are busy, busy here these days. My sis and BIL from Colorado arrived at our house just 3 hours after we got home from our trip. We've been on the 'go' with them from the moment our feet hit the carpet at 5:30 am. This morning we are all leaving the house at 7am to get their trailer worked on and to meet another of my brothers for brunch about 1.5 hours from home. We'll be gone nearly all day long. For the past ten days, life has been all about driving, riding, and eating! And boy do my clothes show it - crumpled and getting tighter! lol!
And now it's almost time to hit the road for the day. Dinner tonite? We think it's going to be hamburgers on the barbie. Which means a trip to the store. I'll whip up a pasta salad and some beans, too, I think. And since it's my BIL's birthday, we're going to have a carrot cake (his fave) that I made last week and froze, and ice cream.
So, how's it going at your house? Is it still BBQ-ing weather?

Good morning,
Welcome home Mary! Sounds like you will be on the run for awhile more. Enjoy your visit!
Sarah defrosted chicken , so i will be making something with that. They are here to help with the last of the floor finishing in the basement. In a wek orcso, they will move their bed in there and it needs to have the concrete sealed first.
I am making some major changes in my kitchen arrangement. Not quite as efficient as I want. So moving things around. DH and Ethan will help.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good early afternoon from a partly sunny, chilly (to me), SW. Pa....Today is a sweat shirt and sock day here in this household.....
Mary, welcome home and there you go again...You sure don't let any grass grow under your feet....
Jana, you also have something going on at your house, all the time...Can't keep up with you.....
I did post yesterday that Ozzie, the eagle from the Ft. Myers nest had passed away...Although I had never visited the nest in person, only by cam, I really had gotten attached to Ozzie and Harriet and their eaglets and I am just heart broken....To see and hear what he went through to get/win back his nest is so sad...But he was with those who loved him when he passed, not laying alone somewhere...He's soaring free with the angels..RIP
Jim had an early appointment to have his sutures removed and boy what a gash on his arm! I get queasy just thinking about it...We stopped for breakfast on the way home and since then, nothing....When we go out early I have a hard time coming home and actually doing anything productive......
Chickie, the other day we talked about the costume I was going to help with...Well, she wants the white Princess Leia dress and she thinks she's getting chiffon...I think I'd rather do the easier one, lol.....And your little message/cartoon was so darn cute....I wonder if delivery companies check out knees/legs when they're hiring these men, lol......thanks again for thinking of me......
As for dinner, it might be that veggie soup I've been trying to make or could be pizza from my good looking short wearer......
Happy eating........................

Mary—you are an iron woman for all the driving, riding and eating—the new iron woman triathalon!!! Keep on keeping on… sounds like a fun time!!!
We are beautiful here today! A perfect 70 degrees with a light breeze and sun. Tonight is to be 46! I piled all three dogs in my truck, and we went to Edna to the quilt shop for my BOM. I had no idea how the three of them would do, but they were good “kids”. Tinker Bell sits in the back (jump seats/king cab), and Boomer and Odie shared riding shotgun with no snarling. They were pretty cute. When we got back home (almost 60 miles round trip), they were rewarded with a walk/run down to let Ava out. A great time was had by all!
Irish—glad you liked the cartoon! It was so YOU!!! I couldn’t resist. Have to say, I did send it to MaryZ by phone, too. I’m so sorry about Ozzie. I hate watching the nature shows—always death and carnage, and I end up in tears. Hugs to you! I have the same problem getting motivated after being out early. Aren’t we a pair! Maybe you can get some white chiffon and an under white fabric and still make it the way I suggested. When she’s finished, you can use the white for something else. I did a Grecian goddess costume one year with muslin and gold braid. Mom made dishtowels with it when I was finished.
Jana—I hear you with the kitchen layout. Each time I’ve remodeled or built, I have improved. I spend more time there than anywhere, so I want it efficient. I’m sure Ethan is a huge help!!!
Dinner here—we did pizza last night. Tonight will probably be steak for DH and soup for me.
Enjoy!

Hi ladies
I can't get motivated for supper tonight, thought you all would make me want something, LOL that didn't work today LOL I'm trying to make a tote, it'll be my first, fingers crossed. We did eat out last night because I was so exhausted, I think I was too exhausted to enjoy it though. Maybe we'll have band food, it's easy and doesn't take any effort

Good Evening All....another nice fine day and a warmed up sun for the afternoon........
Our afternoon club today...the speaker was a short story writer.....lovely lady about "our" age.....such an interesting talk....did a reading of one of her books.....not the whole book of course.....even short stories take a bit of time.....have to admit I am not into "shorties"....prefer something long and a good mystery to get my brain(whats left of it)into thinking mode......shame its not working on stopping me making so many cock ups with my Tumblers.....you know that saying.....measure twice..... cut once....well....I sew twice and rip out three times.....ugh....ugh...
Irish.....have been trying to think what quilt photo I sent....think it must have been our Claires one called "Spa Day"....actually saw this pattern on pintrest this week....thought I would like to do it again and then I thought......tumblers...to....finish.....
Maryz....you are home....sounds like you have been having to much fun with your new transport.....I did see you at the wheel...and hope Mr Bill worked out how to turn off the radio.....that cracked me up.....
menu today....F..h and Chip van day.....so no cooking....and one of Aldis Strawberry Trifles for afters.....
....Lady Carol
