It was so much work setting the table on Thursday that I forgot to make it here yesterday. That doesn't mean we didn't eat. We cleaned up some leftovers and made some more. I picked up BBQ ribs today, so that will be dinner tonight with salad and broccoli.
You are right, Irish--I've been playing with the dogs. I think we have literally "gone to the dogs" here. The three of them seem to be getting along pretty well. Tinker Bell thinks she's the boss and forgets that she was new here once and that Odie was First Dog. Odie got to go to town today and visit with Mom and wait while I was at the store.
You should have seen me with my grocery bags today--I had everything strapped to my arms and shoulders and made one trip--about crushed my knees in the process going up the steps. I had everything except the 52# bag of dog food. Oh! My grandma made the BEST apple dumplings! She didn't make them often, but when she did... everyone was in Happyland! What fond memories you stirred up.
Becca--our library in town sells books for 50 cents and paperbacks for 25 cents. Magazines may be free. I don't see them often.
Carol--glad you had your kettle all ready before the pipe burst!
Tina--That wait could get exciting around your house... Be prepared!

Well, BYU was just handed their heads by Michigan. Now that is over, I will head off to sew -
Chickie - sure hope that big bag of food was more than a week's worth! Glad that the doggies are getting along.
Dinner - a couple of pork steaks smothered with gravy, mashed taters and asparagus.

Hello everyone,Company left & I got all the floors cleaned & storm doors.Little finger prints.lol
We had a great time with the grands.2 1yr olds & 3 & 6. So sweet.One little DGD loves flowers.She wanted to go pick some for her Mother.She is like a little old lady.She said Grama how do you get all these flowers to grow?I told her I wanted them & fed them.She said what do you feed them,I have no food for mine.She is a riot but she loves flowers.
Chickie Guess 3 dogs would go thru a lot of food.Glad they are all being social to each other.
Wow we had way too much food.BbQ pork pulled,creamed potatoes,baked beans,green beans,deviled eggs,rolls,cheese cake,apple pie,& Chocolate chip cookies.Leftovers here we come.lol. Becca
