Supper club, July 27, Monday
Good morning from warm, sun finally getting awake, SW. Pa...It was kind of over cast this morning and thought maybe we'd have some rain but, don't think so....
This is really starting out to be a lazy day...So far, made the bed, got some cards ready for the mail and watered all the plants...Just not sure what I might get into or maybe not get into...I've started restoring the kitchen cabinets and might work on that but if not, oh well.....I have all week to get the house in order for company coming on Sat. but then it's the boys and why should I worry, right????
And speaking of boys, my youngest DS, Nick's Dad, will be 50 tomorrow...Can't understand just when he passed me by....
Not exactly sure what might be happen in our kitchen or on the grill...I do have some special pork chops from Omaha steaks, fresh broccoli or beans and ranch potatoes....Gee, I think I just made up my mind...And with all that, I'm not baking, so there!
So, what might be making your taste buds come alive.....
Happy eating..................

Good morning! I’ve been outside. It was 79 when I went out. When I returned, it was 86 with a heat index of 97! I felt every bit of it when watering, weeding and pulling 200’ of hoses! My girlie glow was pouring off of me. I’m still trying to cool down.
Irish—your DS and my DD share a birthday! She will be 48. She passed me by several years ago! Funny how that happens, isn’t it.
DGD wants to bake… French macarons… I don’t think they are going to be too easy. She is in a French/Paris phase right now. Guess we ill try…
We ended up with chicken/beef fajitas last night with fresh pineapple and a (purchased) vanilla cake for dessert.
Tonight she wants chicken fried steaks with the new potatoes we got at DS3’s garden yesterday. I’ll find a veggie somewhere and a salad. Those macarons (different from macaroons) or some brownies she wants to make with some candy melts will be dessert. We sure don’t go hungry when DGD is here—she always has ideas to try.
Enjoy!

Hello to all.Been a mixed up morn here.Got early start to garden to pick beans & tomatos.
Came home showered to go to town.Had a few errands. Our neighbor has been begging us to go to Sr. Center here for lunch & bingo. Now you girls know I would rather be sewing or staying home.Any way we went this morning even thought DH was sure not up to going. His breathing is so bad & energy level silt.We go ,start to sign in ,lady tells us we are not signed up.We registered last week to eat today. I told her no worry we had plenty to eat at Home.So I hope that is the end of that.Sorry for the book.
I come home pulled our BBQ pork for DH out of freezer.I have some grilled chicken breast leftover. Will add green beans, salad,& cookies & ice cream if wanted.
Chickie Let me know how her macaroons turn out.I made some one day & they were good.I would welcome a new recipe.
Have a great day.Lady Carol WHERE are you? Hope all is well.We miss you. Becca

Irish
sounds like you're busy. Supper at your house sounds yummy!
Chickie, I baked last night....2 loaves zucchini bread and 1 banana nut bread. I had never made zucchini bread before, it tastes just like my carrot cake! Yummy! I can't eat very much of it though, I really don't think it's healthy even with the zucchini in it LOL my parents love macaroons! Well actually they love everything! LOL
Becca, that's terrible but I bet your food is way better and you don't have to go anywhere!
Frankie requested fried chicken last night so my grilled chicken turned to fried chicken LOL it was very good though! I think tonight might be a fish night and salad and probably zucchini, going to look up some different ways to make it.....

Tonight I will be baking a one pound Pork Roast I cut from the Easter Pork Roast. ( I bought 4 pounds and marinated it then decided it was too big, so I cut off one fourth.) Now it is time to bake it. Think I will have mashed red potatoes, salad and peas. Maybe find applesauce too. Of course maybe I will bake a couple of peaches. That would be good with pork!

Jana The national park is Standing Indian. It is 7 miles from my house. We used to go up there a lot when the DGS were growing up.Have many happy memories of the place. Also used to camp there a lot.
My BF still goes camping there & I go & hike with her......Becca
