Supper Club, July 20th, Monday......

Post by Irishgram » Mon Jul 20, 2015 6:30 am

Good afternoon from sunny, steamy, wonderful, Sw. Pa....Summer is here, for how long, who knows.....
But, here we are again, starting another week...Hard to believe it's already nearing the end of July......

So far today, Jim has trimmed the hedges and I've worked in the garden...My tomatoes are really sad looking...The plants are all beginning to turn brown, probably from too much rain, and we're not getting very many tomatoes...Don't think I'll be canning or making relish this year....

But, here's something to brighten my day, Mr. Schwan will be stopping by in about an hour...AND being so warm, it's a sure bet, he'll be in shorts.....

Not sure what I'll get into the rest of the day, probably not much, lol....If I don't get things done in the morning, it usually waits until the next day.....

As far as dinner, it might be steaks on the grill and some roasted veggies....And for afters, ice cream sandwiches from Mr. Schwan (oh so good)......

So what or who is brightening up your day???

Happy eating..........

Good morning,

From the rainy valley in the Mountain West. Not cold outside, just wet.

Dinner will finally be those tacos I have been trying to cook for the last couple of days.

All my uglies are caught up - so I can play.

Enjoy,
Jana

I think tonight will be fish and salad, just something easy and quick because it's hot and I'm trying to get the trailer unloaded and laundry and cleaning done.

Hello from hot & steamy NC.We are to be hot all week.

We had to go to town early to mail quilt to WA for our new little DG due Aug 15th.And pick up Levi's present we ordered.

DH picked up Subway for him.I made me a tomato sandwich from garden. It is too hot to cook.I was going to bake an apple pie but it will wait.

Irish I too need to go to garden.Mornings are my most productive too.Love getting early start.Enjoy your Mr Schwan.lol. Becca

Tina Hope you are feeling better & Mom is getting stronger.Prayers for her.

Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to get a few projects done that I left unfinished some time ago. I am finding all sorts of them. I finished a handbag yesterday and an apron today that had been started but not finished. I do not know why!! I had finished the hard part on the handbag so it was a fast finish after I did some ripping out of seams I did not like.

Jana - Last Tuesday we had tacos. DH was thrilled. I am not a fan of Mexican cuisine!!! (Think I feel about Mexican cuisine the way Mary feels about fish! LOL) I eat tacos without hot sauce of any kind and the spices are still to hot for me!

Tina - I am sure all of us could skip a few meals, or at least eat less at the ones we do eat!

Irish - Hope the Schwann guy delivered those ice cream sandwiches.

Tonight's dinner will be fish, salad, potatoes and green beans.

Carol
