Supper club, July, 18th, another Sat......
Good morning from sunny, getting steamy, Sw. Pa....I think we're finally getting summer...Haven't turned on the AC yet this year but today might be the day....
Not much happening, once again...Yesterday morning, I did most of the uglies and thought I'd just have to vacuum today but when I got home from lunch, all the carpets were done...I picked beans, a couple tomatoes and 2 more zucchini....And even though I had sprayed, Deer Be Gone, they chomped on my lilies and all the morning glories I had planted around the garden...I was happy not to have the ground hogs this year but the deer are doing double duty.....
Had a wonderful lunch yesterday, sat and ate and gabbed for a couple of hours...Then visited another friend who is moving into a new patio home...I was telling Jim about her new home and he said, maybe we should look into something like that...But, starting at $400,000, don't think that's going to happen, lol.....
And having such a big lunch yesterday, I'm still not even thinking of food, other than beans...But, will be a good day for the grill so maybe burgers or hot dogs, again.....We never seem to tire of "summer" food.....
Almost forgot, with the newly removed ban on the forbidden food, I even had a small taste from the buffet yesterday...Wasn't bad and I'm still alive to talk about it, lol.....Still can't belive Mary lifted the ban...That northern air has done something to her......
So are you enjoying the banned food or like us, having the usual.....
Happy eating..................

Good morning!
Irish - what a nice surprise - no uglies to have to do!
I think that the ban has been lifted because of lack of sleep on Mary's part - remember that the days are quite long and no dark outside, especially as you get closer to the North Pole, where her brother lives- just a thought. Hummm....
Dinner tonight is easy - tacos - set out everything last night to cook, then Sarah stopped by, panicked over how high the house will be sitting above the ground - that is the basement windows - nothing we can do, but it isn't as bad as she was thinking.
Working on stitching the words on the table runner - in between holding my little Gracie - Bubbles - her nickname - she is always blowing spit bubbles, hence the nickname. She is a very good baby - entertains herself.
Enjoy,
Jana

Irish—we have groundhogs in the pastures and hay meadows. DS1 is declaring war before a hole swallows a tractor or a cow! What a mess!!! Thankfully, the deer haven’t found my lilies or my hostas. I guess the dogs are out and about enough that the deer stay on the other side of the pond for the most part.
Whoa! $400,000 for a patio home!!! That is a BUNCH!!!
Even with the ban lifted, I haven’t had any of the yum food! Tonight we are having ribs, corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes. I’ll probably throw in some little potatoes as well. I need to throw in a line and catch some of that “pond fruit” while the gittin’ is good!
Jana—give that sweet baby a smooch for me, too!!! No little ones in my life… I miss them!
Becca—I have sedum and coleus, too. If the deer make it to my yard, it’s a veritable buffet line!
Enjoy!

Irish, I don't know about you but it is darned HOT and HUMID here! We will venture out to go to Mama's for steaks tonight, but I dread breathing that air!
We now have a new washer...the other one quit just one too many times and Earl said...new! He and his son took the truck and went to Sears this morning...I don't need to go he knows what I want...no bells and whistles at all...simple!
Opps....time to go to dinner!
Joanne
Earl has been doing laundry ever since he got back!

We are getting a bit of lightening, thunder and rain!! This is a real bonus for California!!
Tonight's dinner will be steak, baked potato, salad and broccoli. I think I will be baking some oatmeal cookies this afternoon too.
Working on completing a tote/handbag today.
