SUPPER CLUB - Mon, July 13th
SURPRISE!! Just checking up on all y'all! We happened to have internet at a scruffy little RV park we landed in last night south of Prince George, B.C. So I thought I'd see that everyone is eating PROPERLY. Miss you all! And I have no idea what we'll be having for supper. But whatever is the biggest food in the freezer! lol! Probably a little meatloaf I made and froze at home along with instant mashed potatoes and frozen green beans. We haven't missed any meals yet!
Hugs to you all!

Mary—great to hear from you along the trail! Always good to hear you aren’t missing meals!!! Be safe!!!
We’re going to go pick sweet corn today. I want to take a bucket of it to town and give it to my sister to fix for her, DBIL and Mom. We are also going to go mow at the rental.
Dinner tonight will HAVE to be something easy… corn, and maybe just salads or will add some enchiladas from the freezer. Tomorrow I’ll be working on corn for the freezer.
Enjoy!

Good morning,
Seems the fare of the day is fresh corn on the cob - we are having some too. Strange mix here with corn and a chef salad.
Good to see you this morning Mary - sorry about sick kitty.
Stu leaves the MTC - Missionary Training Center, tomorrow morning to fly to Riverside, Ca. This is where he will be serving for the next two years. He is doing well, tired, but loving it.
Enjoy,
Jana

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Mon, July 13th
Good afternoon from warm, sunny, summery, Sw. Pa....But, the rains will move in later....Of course it's going to rain, I just sprayed all my lilies again with "Deer Be Gone"....
Oh Mary, so glad to hear from you and know you are eating..Hope you're keeping a diary and will share all the interesting parts....Our caravan hasn't moved west yet, waiting until you get far enough away so we'll have enough time...
Chickie, fresh corn! Nothing better...Yesterday on the way home from breakfast, I noticed our favorite farmer's wagon selling along the highway but of course I was on the wrong side and too much traffic to get to him....Next time, I'm out, that's the 1st stop....And, we do have both the George Foreman and an outside gas grill...Use the Foreman in the winter time but I sure do love that outside grill...
Becca, oh boy, those beans sound good...I just checked mine and maybe another day or so and I can pick...The deer found a lot of other things but not the beans this year, lol....And the zucchini are starting, picked another 2 today..But, the tomatoes are terrible, only got a couple today....Even, Ted, our master gardener said, his garden is terrible...Could be too much rain....And will certainly keep your DSIL in my prayers...Glad they finally found out what the problem is and hopefully the kidneys will bounce back....I was amazed, when the nurses explained the workings of those dialysis machines...Unbelievable what they can do today.....
Tina, also sending prayers for YOU and your Mom...Need to get you healthy again....Soup and strawberries, sounds pretty good....
Not much happening today..I was up until 3:00 reading, then up at 7:30 and just don't feel right..(Hopefully, it's lack of sleep)...I do need to run to Walmart for cat food and do want to pick up some of that corn but hate to think of changing into "decent" clothes and actually putting on shoes...But, there will be trouble if the fur babies don't get their food...Jim and I can go without but not them, lol.....
For dinner, I'm thinking of using a recipe from Donna, my best neighbor...It's a lot like chili but she uses zucchini and it is wonderful...Mine never comes out as good as her's and I'm thinking, when I give her some zucchini, I'll tell her, she needs to share her already made chili....
But, even with plans to cook, knowing my car the way we do, that chili might have to wait until tomorrow night...
Happy eating.............
