Supper club, July 11, Sat......

Post by Irishgram » Sat Jul 11, 2015 6:19 am

Good early afternoon from sunny, warm, purrrfect, SW. Pa....After the dreary and rain, today is very much appreciated....

So, come on gals, get your cup and pull up a chair...Let's give a toast to Mary for a very safe, happy trip....I did text her last night and told her not to worry about her stash...
(Chickie, ready for that road trip?)

The sheets are off the line and back on the bed and smelling sooo good but I still have lots of inside uglies to finish...When I hung the sheets, I didn't want to come back in so fiddled in the garden, picked the zucchini, pulled some weeds and then trimmed some bushes and that really put me behind in the inside stuff...But, you know my motto, "Put off today what you can or maybe feel like doing tomorrow".... Being retired and old does have it's perks.....

Dinner will be very simple tonight, burgers on the grill and maybe breaded zucchini....Easy peasy..........Store bought cookies for afters and if Jim wants something special, there's a Dairy Queen not too far away...........

So, are you keeping it easy, what's going on your table tonight?

Happy eating..............

Good morning!

Irish - the interstate from Chickie's place goes right by me on the way to Mary's - stop off and get me. We can't hide here, as Mary has been to my house. LOL

I got a nice pork loin roast the other day, so sliced it into nice pork chops - so that will be dinner with fresh corn in the cob - with Sarah running a farm and farmer's market - I get good fresh veggies. We haven't got a garden in yet, the soil needs lots of work. I do grow great rocks!

Enjoy!

Now wait a minute ladies. Remember Mary has a guard on that stash, so be very, very, quiet, and be careful that you don't get caught. : )

I hope they have a very safe and fun trip. We will surely miss her here, but hey, we gotta eat, right???

For tonight, well, we have another "dance" night, so we are going to be eating some left overs. That makes a "hurry up" supper for us.

I fixed Rice-a-roni last night with chicken strips. Lots of rice left. No chicken left, though, so I am going to try a couple of small ham steaks. I will brown them a little with butter and brown sugar (not too heavy on the sweetness, but a little bit)

It's hot here today, too and sticky. Humid like all get out!!!

I was sewing earlier and finished another quilt top. I posted them in Photos, so if you want to take a peek, hop on over there.

Hugs to all
Vel

I think I'm going to attempt my zucchini quiche, LOL I can spell it now! LOL
We had a huge storm yesterday! My flower beds have had so much water they had toadstools or mushrooms growing in them! 1 was the size of a sandwich plate! I haven't been out until today, it's very soggy muddy, but I'm not complaining, I'm thankful for all this rain!
