SUPPER CLUB, Fri, June 26th

Good Morning! I will be bold today and start this out. Hope you don't mind, Maryz. I know I might not get back to check in until after lunch. Today, is another eat out day, here. We have a fund raiser Steak Dinner going on tonight and some friends have invited us to go along. It's put on by our Senior Center and looks to be a really nice meal. Steak, scallop potato, green beans, roll, and a dessert.

Last night we really enjoyed our slow cooker pork. I have enough left overs for another meal, so I won't need to cook again tomorrow.

I need to get laundry done today, along with washing all the fabrics I brought home from the church's stash to make quilt tops with. Opened them all up to measure the yardage yesterday and they made me sneeze really bad. I could smell the mustiness so off to the laundry they go. Can't sew with all that!!! If I tried to iron the fabric with the musty smell, the whole RV would stink!!! It's all really nice fabric, but it was in storage somewhere, way too long!!!

Also I need to clean house today. It will be good to not have to cook. We have more rain coming our way, so we are not able to go out in our boat, either. I will be glad when the weather settles down a bit.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for letting me set the table for us all, today.

Hugs

Good morning Vel! Your dinner sounds delicious… last night’s, too! I wish we would get ½” of rain daily between 12 and 4 a.m. That would suit me just fine—no watering, and outside activities wouldn’t be affected.

I just remembered I have some enchiladas in the freezer. I think I’ll pull them out and add salad on the side. I ended up eating most of DH’s salad last evening. He’s not much of a veggie eater. Tomorrow is shopping day to replenish my fresh fruits and veggies.

Enjoy!

Good morning from another partly sunny, sometimes dreary, but warm, SW. Pa....It's being rumored, by those TV weather people, we might be in for heavy rains and flooding...With us, we live pretty much on a hill and it would have to really flood to get to us...But, a few years ago, it did rain buckets and the water washed down from the street above, came over our patio wall and within 1/2 an inch from coming in the kitchen door and lots of water in the basement...Needless to say, that year we did panic...But, Mother Nature will do what she pleases and it's not up to us to tell her otherwise.....

Not too much happening around here...Jim is out with the weed whacker or I should say, he's supervising a neighbor fellow...He's a super nice young man, probably about 14-15, he stops in to visit with Jim almost every day...Calls him "Sir" and asks if there is anything he can help him with or they just sit on the porch and talk...I think he reminds Jim of Nicky but I think it's great for this young fellow to take time and stop....They washed the car the other day and both of them told me, not to get it dirty, lol.....

I'm going to make a trip to the bank and do a few errands (before it rains, gotta keep the car clean)...Jim needs to get his glasses adjusted but we'll see about that later....

As far as dinner, it might be something on the grill...Either burgers or chicken and a pouch of veggies..One of these days, in the middle of grill cooking, the tank is going to run dry and I might actually have to use the stove.....

Hope you all have a good day....

Happy eating..............

Hi from south Louisiana, Looks like everybody has the same plan as me - something easy for supper. My family was in different directions for big lunches, so supper will be small. Ham with fresh tomato sandwiches. Mine will be just tomato, mayo and salt n pepper on toast. A tall iced sweet tea on the side. Prayers going out for all, Abita
