Supper club, June 24, Wed....

Post by Irishgram » Wed Jun 24, 2015 4:20 am

Good morning from a sunny, getting warm, gorgeous summer day in SW. Pa....This is going to be a great day to be outside, might have to do battle with the weeds in the garden and have some new flowers to plant to replace the ones that didn't do so well....

Yesterday when I posted about Kathy coming and my birthday, I meant, she was coming on my birthday, in Aug...Please, just one b'day a year, that's more than enough.....

Joanne, You know your Reds have been giving our Pirates a hard time but last night we managed to come out ahead....If you had watched the game, did you notice our catcher and his eyes? He hit a homer and his expressions are great...He really is an up and coming star...

I think today, Maryz will be setting up camp and have internet...We need to hear all about her travels...Hopefully, she's somewhere where it's cooler...The west, besides being dry is really have some kind of heat.....

I did my errands yesterday, ran all day and you know my car, won't come home until we turn into one of those many "places" along the way....So, dinner was once again the non kitchen type...I'm really enjoying this, grilling, stopping along the highway and Omaha stuff...
AND for sure today Mr. Schwann is stopping...Would you believe Jim saw him at the Post Office and told him I needed to see him, lol....So, later this afternoon............

For tonight's dinner, it might be the pork chops held over from last night BUT, if Mr. Schwann comes, it might be something completely different...In this house, you just never know....And the baking that didn't get done yesterday will happen today...Instead of apple pie, might be apple dumplings.........

So, what little surprises do you have happening in your kitchen????

Happy eating.....................

Good morning almost afternoon...

Back from KY where we spent a couple of hours in caves. That was pretty cool and cool. Had to wear a jacket. It was 90+ outside but 50's in the caves. Some of the young girls aren't all that bright and wear next to nothing and flip flops on their feet. We called shower shoes thongs but I guess there is another article of clothing that hijacked that name? We stayed in the back of the group while they were in front because I wouldn't have been able to keep my trap shut if they were to say anything about being cold.

I miss watching baseball on tv. Go Bucks!!!! Around here if you say that, you are referring to The Ohio State Buckeyes which I abhor. So I say Go Michigan and my grandson corrects me. His dad has him brainwashed. LOL

I brought back some blueberries. 25# worth. I need to run some up to my sister-in-law, the grands will be here this evening and they'll eat some, and tomorrow I'm canning blueberry pie filling. Any that are left at that point, I'll dehydrate to be used in pancakes, or eaten right from the jar in the case of the grands which means I'll not have any for pancakes.

As for supper, not a clue at this point. I guess I better dig through the freezer and see what we have.

Have a good day.

Hi pals,

I have to say, last night's dinner didn't turn out like I planned. The grass became dry enough to mow, so I hurried out and did that chore. I don't mind doing it for my DH, as he always sweats to bad. I love to mow anyway, so I usually try to talk him into letting me do it. It only take less than 30 min to do our lot and the neighbors. We keep up theirs because they still are working people and don't get to come to their camper every weekend.

After I got that all done, DH offered to buy supper. I went up to the local burger shop and got their "special" - 4 cheeseburgers and 1 lb of fries for $7.45. We ate two of the burger and finished off the fries. Today for lunch, we will have the other two burgers and some chips.

My dinner from last night (left over chops and mac n cheese) will be on the table.

Off to go do some sewing now. You all have a great day!!!

Must be a burger day. Burgers and pierogies. DH decided that's what he wanted.

I made BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and we had the rest of the leftovers. DS is here finally today and tomorrow, I've sure missed him!

Waaay late tonight - burgers here too, but I didn't have to cook them. Take out from Culver's and sat watching trains.
