Good morning from south Louisiana, Supper has been light lately. My family has been making jam and jelly. 32 pints of blueberry jam and 22 pints mayhaw jelly. Temp. in June is terribly hot, but stirring jelly/jam pot is reeeeally hot! We are done for now. All is well down here. Prayers going out to all in need, AbitaQuilterMom

Abita - all that jam sounds yummy, but what is mayhaw jelly? I have never heard of it.
Good to see you today!

Jana, the mayhaw is from the crabapple family. It grows in low, wet, marshlike terrain. It makes a small, tart, apple shaped fruit. The jelly is the prettiest clear, pink, to light red color. It is a favorite of my family. Thank you for your interest, Abita
