Happy Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, Supper club.....
Good afternoon from a very sunny, warm, wonderful, SW. Pa....We're having a little breeze and it's heavenly.....
Hope it's a special day for all the Fathers that are still with us and prayers for those who have gone ahead....My Dad passed when I was 16 and I often wonder what he would think if he had lived to see all our kids and grand kids....Think of him so often.......
I see, you all must be very busy today or is it, you gals aren't eating?????
We went to early Mass (the other couple had a Christening in Erie and couldn't join us), then I gave Jim his choice of where to go for breakfast....Well, both places he chose was standing room only, lines out the door, so he said, just pull in McDonalds....Wasn't too bad and no lines, lol....
Our #3 DS, Kevin and his wife, Cindy will be stopping down later and we'll be doing the cookout thing (hopefully, the gas in the grill will last though the burgers)...
Jim is watching the Pirates who have lost the last 2 games....Yesterday the pitcher for Washington pitched a no hitter against our Buccos...Good for him but bad for our Pirates...
So, our dinner, as I said, will be picnic stuff, dogs, burgers, macaroni salad and strawberry shortcake for afters.........Paper plates and disposable silverware, my Mom didn't raise no dummy.....
How are you all celebrating the day............
Happy eating.................

Hi Irish and all the others to come.
We, too were off to church this morning. Then we went to lunch after. When I got back, I went down to my friend's RV for a little neighbor visit. DH has been getting phone calls from all the kids. He likes that. They call his cell phone and he get's to talk (one on one) to each of them.
For dinner tonight, I have chicken breasts thawing. Don't know yet what to stir up. Might end up grilling them?????
I guess I will get the sewing machine set up for this afternoon. Need to work some more on my latest mission quilt. Using the 10 minute block pattern with 10inch blocks. Turning out preety cute.
I washed another piece of yellow gingham that I found in the project room. It had a little stain that looked like a musty mildew????
Was having great problem getting it out. Finally took a small about of bleach on an old toothbrush and that lifted it out. Rinsed it all really good and hung it over our lawn chairs outside to dry.
Two other pieces needed to be rinsed out. Those I wrapped in a big beach towel and blotted out the wet. Hung one piece over the shower stall and the other, small one over the dog's crate.
These will be used in my next top, but I had to get the fabric clean and ready to go.
Hope you all have a nice day and hope you get to spend time with family.

Good afternoon,
Just got home from Church. Made a little egg salad for a couple of sandwiches. Dinner - those ribs I have been trying to cook will be done today.
Happy Father's day to all those wonderful men in our lives. I too lost my Dad when I was 15. Often wonder what he would think of this tribe, then I know he already knows them and taught them before they came here how to get the best of me! LOL
Enjoy,
Jana

We had our big Father's Day brunch here with all the family. My kitchen is closed. Hopefully we can find some leftovers or a sandwich... much later.
My DGD went home with her family and already wants to come back tomorrow.

I finally made it here, been so busy, doing nothing for me! LOL but all is good
I cooked all day yesterday, my little brother and his girlfriend ate here and then my little brother had to go setup for a concert here in town, it went from 8 till just after midnight, it was good! A very lovely evening and night
My little brother went to college to be a music teacher but the college he went to practiced theory, so he wasn't in any classroom until his last semester to do his student teaching and that's when he discovered teaching wasn't for him, he did get his degree though and he plays every instrument plus sings, he's in 5-6? different bands....oldies, boogie, jazz, funky groove, quartet and community....so he's doing what he loves, makes a little extra money and is happy
he also has a full time day job and he's a band tutor.
anyway......LOL we're having all the sides leftovers today and this evening but for supper I finally got those ribs on the grill
we're 110, maybe I should have tried them cooking on the cement LOL
