SUPPER CLUB - Sat, June 13th
Good Morning!
I guess I never made it here at all yesterday! I do remember at one point saying to Bill, "I have to do Supper Club." I was running from 7am until 10pm last night. Maybe that's why I slept late this morning and feel groggy! Couldn't have been the wine we drank! could it??
Today should be much calmer. A little yard work, a few uglies, and some quilting on the last quilt in the quilting queue. I'm doing it freehand.
IRISH - what a great gift! I bet Jim ooh'd and ahhh's over that box! Yes - see I DO go back and read what I missed, you naughty girl!! Time-out for you!
TINA - your pizza sounds delish. And you DO need to have a carrying agent to transfer all those veggies from plate to mouth. Crust solves that problem! Yum!
LORI - calzones again?? I'm coming to your house! I love them!
JANA - you get to join Irish in the corner!
BECCA - what an awful accident to happen to your son! I guess for such a reason, liver would be OK, but it makes me shiver. Get it? Liver shiver . . .(((( ))))) - oh well - it's early. The best I can do for now. I did a double take when I read your neighbors. . .came from FL. That's a long backyard fence!
CHICKIE - having fun with your DGD! Hope those tornado warnings don't come any closer!
Well, I'm not cooking tonite! DH is going to go over to his brother's and they will feed him (I'm assuming!). So no cooking here! I cooked enough yesterday so I deserve a break. Though when it came time to put the burgers on the grill (remember, we had two other couples for a BBQ) it came to light that I'd forgotten to thaw the burgers I had pre-made! so dinner was delayed just a little bit - which dried out my baked beans. Oh well.
Have a tasty Saturday!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, June 13th
Good morning from warm but slightly overcast, SW. Pa...We did have storms in the area last night and rain this morning but hopefully, that will be it...I was sitting on the front porch last night and the wind started blowing and the tree in the yard between the houses started making weird noises and some of the branches blew in all directions...Jim's Dad had planted the tree and it's a huge maple tree that has to be over 100 years old and I thought for sure, it was coming down...Mess in the yard but tree is still standing tall....
I must say, it would be lonely in the corner if I didn't have Jana...Thought for sure I could sneak that one in.....Today is an ugly catch up day...A little of this, little of that and hopefully, all will be done...Changed the bed (with help of the furbaby) and things are pretty well done upstairs, just need to run the vacuum and maybe call it a day....Pirates are on later this afternoon and I need to be ready....Last night was a thriller and they won, 1-0......
Mary, sounds like you really had a good day, wine and all....You know, every once in awhile, you can sleep in, just a bit....Did you get the truck?
Chickie, I can imagine the fun you're having at your house...Always good to have grand kids and to have one that actually quilts, it's really good to be you.....
Becca, What a terrible, terrible accident...Thank goodness he's OK...Your DD sounds like Kathy...It really is a wonderful gift....
AND no thinking about tonight's dinner....We are having sirloin steaks, wrapped in bacon and a nice big salad...Still trying to make room in the freezer for my visit from Mr. Schwann.............
Happy eating.............

All day today is leftovers day so I don't have to cook! My pizza was so loaded with veggies and the crust was so thin I had to use a fork to get it from plate to mouth LOL
Irish, good eatin at your house.

Good afternoon -
I promise to be a good girl today - already in the dog house - just about forgot the cookies I promised to bake for the Fathers tomorrow at church. Don't panic - we are doing it a week early, because of Stake Conference on Father's Day. The last tray is in the oven.
Enjoy,
Jana

Well, it is still Friday here, he he. Ordered Chinese about an hour ago, now having coffee and chocolate mousse pie. Do not do this very often. My laundry lady is coming over in the AM and hope she can help me dig out of this pit. I need to go to Wal-Mart to get one of those storage shed-like units to put on deck. Needs to be water proof. Just can't stand this mess any more. Then perhaps I can finally have a sewing room Oh, I had chicken Lomain, no sugar, but think this has sugar. Have a blessed Sunday and sending more prayers for Megan and her family.
