SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, March 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Mar 24, 2015 3:27 am

Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes! What a great day! I played in my sewing room all day long, rearranging some things, organizing some fabrics. I made 3 more batik butterflies, and then off to supper! DH was naughty and had Forbidden Fettuccini. I had Dijon chicken with au gratin potatoes and broccolini. It was good, but so much food! I had to bring some of it home.

LADY CAROL - were you good at the shops yesterday? Just checking...
JANA - are you fully moved into your kitchen yet?
JOANNE - so is anyone rooting for Gonzaga???
CHICKIE - I hope you got some quality time with your sewing machine!
IRISH - how is Jim today? And who won the Battle of the Remote?
BECCA - good luck with the car! Eating out AGAIN?? Lucky you!
TINA - Did you ever find brown rice pasta?

I guess all good things come to an end eventually. I will be cooking tonite. I think either chicken fried rice and salad (got those restaurant leftovers!) or a homemade pizza - DH's choice. Whichever he doesn't choose will be on tomorrow's menu.

What's the supper story going to be at your house?

BTW, here's a picture of the only way I like my f--h! Belly dancing!

Mary, I think you Salmon is so cool! :o) What an imagination you and Chickie have :o) I haven't been to the store yet to look for the brown rice pasta, probably this weekend :o)

Tonight we're having bean tostadas :o) with tons of lettuce, tomatoes and whatever else I want to throw on there :o) and lots of salsa :o)

Good morning!

Well my kitchen is probably at 90% - but I have to take a break today - I have the activity day girls and have to get this prom dress's hem finished. And now I just found out they they want a meeting after activity day time at the church - so have to make a run over there from the house. Dinner - out! It is Tuesday! LOL

Besides that dress I need to get Gracie's blessing dress done and embellished.

Enjoy -
Jana

Tonight is one more night of reruns. DH will be served gizzards with corn and sautéed potatoes. I will have a taco salad with the little bit of meat in the fridge...lots of lettuce and tomatoes with Tina... taco salad Tuesday. Tomorrow, guess it's back to the stove.

I really enjoy telling Mary what she can do with her stash! So glad we are all friends!

Good late afternoon from sunny, slightly warm, SW. Pa....I am really late today but have an excuse......

We just got back from the "slicer and dicer".....Jim's appointment was for 9:00 and we finally walked out at 2:30 all stitched and bandaged...The waiting room is usually filled with people covered with bandages waiting to go back and have more done...It used to be, Jim would go by himself but now, I told them, I'm missing out on all the fun and I have to come along...Along with having the best donuts and coffee, I have a great time while waiting...Just today, a young fellow (94 years old) was having spots removed from his nose and he loved to talk and tell stories about his days in the service..And today, I told everyone there about my comfort quilt...People are amazed when I tell them, I've never met you gals in person but have grown to love each one and consider you all family....So, I had a great day......Next time I might take pictures.....

Mary, we didn't have to do battle with the remote...My mistake, the Penguins play tonight and ND doesn't play until Thursday (but there might also be a hockey game then, so we'll see).....Now if any games, even championships, were played during Survivor, there would be no question as to who would have the remote, so there!

And there will be no cooking in this house....On the way home we stopped at Arby's and picked up roast beef sandwiches, I opened a can of soup and "early dinner".....Do still have a loaf of zucchini bread and/or ice cream...AND I broke down and got some strawberries.....

Happy eating...................

Man, Irish, there are those strawberries again! They sound so good...now if I just could manage to drive to Krogers....

Gonzaga is on one of my brackets, but not for long. We're resting until Thursday night when it starts up again!

Today I actually crawled upstairs to my fabric...well, not a true crawl, but close! lol! I brought down 15 blocks and fabric for sashing and cornerstones and borders...it's a quilt that I made the blocks for several years ago...half the blocks are pieced and half are snowmen applique...I have 30 blocks total..so it will be two lap quilts. It's a start!

I had some chicken marinating in Tereaki sauce to fix for dinner, but Earl came in from his shop this afternoon and said we could go to Mama's Grill! Fine with me!!

It's cold...Earl built a fire in his furnace in the shop today. But they say tomorrow will be warmer...70 deg. But some rain.

Good Evening All.......it was lovely and sunny though cold in Aber......but almost home and there was the heaviest downpour of hailstones we"ve had in a long time.........

was very good in the Craft shop and only brought machine needles.....they didn't keep a stock of 1/4" feet so I"ll order online......however my lovely bundle of fat quarters was waiting for me when I got home.......

Have to go into town tomorrow to pay some bills......I have to pass my local quilt shop.......wonder if I can be brave enough to keep on walking........

Maryz.....that Belly-Dancing Salmon of yours looks like its having a whale of a time....have to say I am rather partial to those colours.....did you use Tulle?

todays menu......Roast Pork belly Strips......Creamed Potatoes...Peas and Brocolli.......Rice pudding for afters.......

Carol......
