SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 19th
Happy today! St. Joseph's Feast Day and the day the swallows return to San Juan Capistrano. We visited there once and toured the mission. Such a pretty, peaceful place and LOTS of birds!
IRISH - I do hope your Mr. Eagle in FL will be OK and get to return to his family soon.
BECCA - My mom used to make fried oysters for my dad about once a year. She always ate something else, too. And had to soak her cast iron skillet in vinegar water for 2 days afterward! lol!
JANA - your kitchen! your kitchen!!!
JOANNE - did you ever figure out a supper plan last night? Hope so cuz now you need another one for tonite!
CAROL - your quilt is so pretty! Congrats on that ribbon!
LADY CAROL - so sorry you've been down with that bug. You just HAD to out-do me in the sick department, didn't you! Hope you're on the mend now.
My cough is still keeping me up at night. It's getting old and my ribs are getting sore. Today I have to go with DH to Fife, a town about 25 miles away to pick up his truck from a repair shop. Again. I wasn't too happy to hear that news. I'd already made a nest on the couch for the day!
I forgot to make supper yesterday. Imagine that! But we had a nice Mexican lunch out with my older sister (yes, Irish - the goofy one) before taking her to the airport, and we were good for the evening. And I had a chicken tamale. It was sooooo good!!
So tonite, I think I'll do that stew in the crockpot.
I hope your supper is tasty, whatever it turns out to be!

Morning from a very sunny, but darn chilly, SW. Pa...
Mary, sorry to hear you're hurting...Maybe you aren't drinking enough of the right kind of liquids to ease your cough....Or maybe up the dosage....Did you see where Chriss will be sending you some kittens? You are so lucky.....
And the injured eagle in Florida is the Mr. Eagle from the nest that I watch....His shoulder is broken and he's in rehab but hopefully, in a few weeks will be returned to his nest area and Mrs. Eagle will be waiting..This pair are known as Ozzie and Harriet....Harriet now has to take over the feeding and protecting the young one until he's able to hunt on his/her own....Just very sad, but hopeful.....
Carol, so glad to see you're also among the living...You gals have had a bad time of it, haven't you? But, from now on, all good, healthy days..And knowing you, too many things planned to keep you down.....Hope DH is doing well, also.....
Well, today being bingo day for Jim, it's goof off day for me....Was going to stay home but when the phone rings and you get a lunch invitation, "get your shoes on Gertie" we're out the door...So, errands to do and lunch......
Jim is having a bad time because Notre Dame will be playing basketball during bingo...(And he's too healthy to call off sick)
As for as dinner, you know that Subway that's on my way home?????Good possibility the car just might turn into their parking lot....If not that, I have no idea..........
Happy eating..................

Mary, sorry your nesting was interrupted, when you get back curl up with your furrkids and a book and rest
Irish, Subway sounds so good, it's been forever since we had that!
hmmmmm I don't know what I'm fixing for supper tonight yet. Last night I made spaghetti
only the second time in 9 months that I've had it, it's not on my diet but sometimes ya just gotta have something
maybe tonight will be pork chops or chicken....or maybe a burger and with anything I make will be salad and maybe okra
or zucchini.
Tina

We did eat last night...I needed to shop at Medary's for groceries yesterday afternoon, so Earl suggested we pick up some of their fried chicken, macaroni salad and beans for dinner!
Tonight will be a pork roast that I stuck in the crockpot this morning with some broth and onions. Earl fixed some sausage and eggs for "brunch" today, so we won't need a huge dinner...maybe some noodles and a veggie with it.
Today will be college basketball until bedtime! lol! University of Cincinnati, Xavier, Ohio State and Kentucky all play today, plus Earl and I filled out brackets..so we have some skin in the game. lol. It's really the only time I like to watch basketball...
Last night was 2 hours of Survivor...good time!
Off to watch Jim's Notre Dame!!!
Becca, those strawberries sound sooooo good.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 19th
Good afternoon,
Sarah and Michael just took off to SLC - she needed picture framing materials and we are donating some of the kitchen to Habitat for Humanity. They stopped at the store the other day and they want all that we have.
Dinner last night was pizza - still in paper plates - I now have about have of the new dishes washed and ready to be put away. For Christmas, I got a set of dishes, that all match for 16 people. So now I can feed the family! LOL - might be easier with paper!
I've got the last couple of minutes of the Notre Dame game on - I will root for them - considering BYU got beat the other night.
Dishwashers are singing my name,
Enjoy,
Jana
