SUPPER CLUB - Thurs, Feb 12th
Happy Birthday to my favorite president - Abraham Lincoln!
Well, you guys threw me a new one - again: Italian eggs. lol! You'll have to let me know if they are "bon monjare" (or good eating).
.
Our Valentine/Anniversary plans took a turn last night - in the paper we saw a hike, about 40 miles from us, that looked interesting. 6 miles round trip (if we do the entire hike) with only about 1,000 feet elevation. So we're thinking of packing a picnic lunch into a backpack, leashing up The Scot, and hitting the trail. Since I no longer trust the USPS's promise of 2-day delivery of Irish's leftovers, I will probably make my own lasagna to have it ready to pop into the oven when we get home. The weather should be OK for hiking. So now I guess we have a plan. what to pack for a picnic lunch now ??? If I REALLY loved my Valentine I'd make him a T--A sandwich. lol!!
It's getting closer . . . What are YOUR plans?

Good morning,
Mary - your hike sounds wonderful! I too love lasagna.
Plans for Valentines Day get wrapped together with our birthdays here - Sarah's and mine are both, tomorrow, the 13th. Michael takes me out and spoils me rotten! We will have to work around the contractors on when we get to go and play. Sometimes we go to Park City for dinner and shopping - they have a year round Christmas store - so we will see.
The new small microwave we bought at Walmart, should have known better, was broken, right from the factory sealed box. We returned it and went to another store and got one that works. That one will move to the Batt Cave, when we are done up here. All I need is a bed and would never have to leave the Batt Cave! LOL
Dinner - it will be a surprise - I still have a stove and sink, but that is right now, so will have to see what tonight brings. Never a dull moment around here.
Enjoy,
Jana

Tonight will be sweet potato casserole, Dijon crusted pork chops from Market Day and a salad. Maybe a veggie and some biscuits...we'll see! It snowed this morning...not much, just enough to cover the ground..it's so pretty!

Good afternoon--DH is getting steak tonight and we'll have baked sweet potato. I'll fix extra so he can warm up tomorrow evening for his dinner. I'll be going to a visitation for DD's BFF's mom that is 2 hours one way; it was easier for me to make the visitation than to get up and get there for the funeral service on Saturday morning. I am going to pick up DD on the way. Odie might get to go with me. He's such a good little traveler. Salad will accompany tonight's dinner.
Jana--Happy birthday to you and Sarah!!!

Well, looks like I was so excited about Saturday's dinner that I forgot to mention tonite's supper! lol! DH was questioning me a few minutes ago, asking "are we having tacos tonite?" So now I guess we are.
JANA, I remember you and Sarah had the same birthday. And I was remembering that you were in Feb sometime. So happy birthday to you both tomorrow!! That's terrible about the micro. We bought a coffeemaker once that we could see had been used! Ugh!!
BECCA - you still walk almost every day, don't you? I usually do 2 miles but half the walk is through woods that right now are soupy with mud and taking a dog with a 7" long coat leaves me with a terrible mess to clean up afterward. And I've discovered he likes to relax after his walk - on my white couch!! So on muddy days, he and I drive to the paved walking trail and walk that instead.
